Looks like we have caught another break to go with the few we caught last week(no Reynolds and Inglis lasting 8 minutes), might be a good year for us with the luck running our way.

This sort of story is right up the Telegraph's alley. Gutter journalism at it's finest.
are you inferring that because from Penrith they are bogans?
Just wow. And apparently you're a mod.

No he's not.

So much for all the NRL's PR on treatment of women.

She has to bare half the responsibility.
She took the money and aborted. She could have just as easily said no.
Men always cop a raw deal on these issues. The woman knows her body better than anyone and should protect herself against an unwanted pregnancy. I'm guessing it was wanted by one party as an anchor.

seriously dude… thats pretty poor.
I'm a father of 3 kids all to 3 different mothers... The first was conceived on a pool table after a footy game, and while I struggled with being a father for the first time, I would never stoop that low.
I did the deed. I paid my dues!

I'm a father of 4\. 2 different mothers.
I'm not talking about the fathers side, I'm talking about a woman knowing her body.
She knows her cycles, she knows her contraception.
He obviously wasn't on board and didn't want in. He gave her incentive to end it and she took it.
I don't buy she was pressured. Anchor babies are made daily.
Some are mistakes but those occurrences where it's a trap are evident.
@ said:Tell you what, putting aside and thoughts on the morality of the situation or personal views on Phil Gould, but if you were a player with this sort of indiscretion in the papers you couldn't ask for much more from your club than how the Panthers are handling this.
Straight up nothing from the club, and a really strong line from Gould personally - backing the player but promising appropriate welfare support for both parties. Gould must know he's going to get slammed by the Tele (they hate him anyway, quite apart from anything else) yet he's out on the front foot with a solid but constructive line.
As I say, I'm not making any comment at all on whether it's morally right or not. Just saying it's an absolute lesson in PR crisis management.
@ said:BC is a dead beat and his actions are pretty ordinary but does this private matter deserve the media attention its getting ? One positive if anything is that the young lady has provided a warning to other women to be aware of this self centred grub.

Why are we taking sides in something of which we have no knowledge.
We haven't got a clue who is right or who is wrong.
The only definite thing is that Someone will get a fortune on a Current Affair / 60 Minutes
For a windfall Tell all. purely coincidental I'm sure

Yep there will be a nice little earn in it for Miss X. A couple hundred thou in the bank for raking a bit of muck re: Cartwright. The women's mags will be queing up.
@ said:Yep supposedly donated the 50k to charity. There will be plenty more money coming her way via the trash mags and trash newspapers though. Can't really see the reasons why this was made public apart from perhaps the money factor.

Don't damn the lady as this has not occurred yet. She could be suffering depression and needs consolation and understanding. As well could turn her off men or make her over guarded. As well sometimes an abortion can prevent the woman from having a child in the future then depression can really set in.

You're kidding right? Benny would take the cash, then demand $50K from the girl as well.
