Gould just annoyed he is no longer responsible for the best COE in the game.

Relocation is 100% not an option with the COE being built at Concord. If they thought it was the best move for the club they'd have built it in CTown not Concord.

These type of self-serving commentaries are the reason the game is in a mess. Phil Gould's conflict of interest is so evident. Of course, he wants us to relocate AWAY from the Doggies in the Inner West. We're just about to open our COE and we have the hottest Flegg Squad in the comp coming through. We have the best Reggies team playing in the NRL as well. All we need is a First Grade team and we will rule the World! from Concord!

*"Would (the Tigers) be better moving to Campbelltown? Building a great facility out there so kids out there in Campbelltown have something to strive for, rather than being at Concord? How much junior footy is played at Concord?"*

The club is literally building an academy facility in Campbelltown.

Hang on - Those with long tentacles and media connections have an opinion that wants WT out?

And I wont even bother to read the dribble.

I don't think that's been made public knowledge, except for when Lee made a comment about it on Triple M on Monday night. the club has its ducks in a row in terms of Pathways. the media has no idea.

Been reading these messages for years and now i have decided to join and put my two cents worth first of all i am an old Balmain supporter while i was not happy to merge in the beginning once a tiger always a tiger i love the Wests Tigers and will always but while i agree a move to Campbelltown would be a good idea it will never happen because it's Wests Ashfield that put the money into the joint venture with a little donation from Balmain no money from Wests Campbelltown so it makes no sense while Ashfield is in control (which by the way if they weren't we would not be alive today)

Why gather the facts when you can opine recklessly for reaction?

Coach in Turmoil, Club being relocated and Brooks under pressure....

Its the typical Wests Tigers offseason trifecta!

don't let this detract wests tigers your COE is at CONCORD
Put the junior academy and pathways at campbletown and you get the best of both, Gould would love the dogs to continue with ANZ and encroach into that area

Stay the course at Concord and the dogs will be quiet nervous that isnwhy Gould wants wests tigers at campbletown.
Never worked for Magpies 20 years ago and will not now, campbletown should be where the junior academy is based and gather the best juniors

This is another issue that Pascoe and his laid back attitude have .. if the club is ACTUALLY doing this type of academy a word of advice TELL your stake holders , information is free and quells apprehension!

Calls for relocation hit embattled Wests Tigers
Zachary Gates 1 day ago

Rugby league icons Phil Gould and Paul Gallen share the sensational belief that Wests Tigers are in desperate need of relocating from Concord to Campbelltown, following another dreadful season.

The comments of Gould and Gallen follow Wests' 38-0 pummeling at the hands of wooden-spooners Canterbury on Sunday, which brought to close a 10th season in succession without finals football.

As Nine's 100% Footy panel dissected the Tigers mess, Gallen asked Gould if the embattled club, which formed in a merge between Western Suburbs Magpies and the Balmain Tigers ahead of the 2000 season, should relocate from Concord to Campbelltown.

The reasoning behind Gallen's question was the stronger junior rugby league system in Sydney's south-west than in the inner-west area of the city.

"I look at what you did at Penrith (as general manager of football) – and now Penrith are flying at the moment, obviously," Gallen said to Gould.

"But you had that great junior nursery out there to build from and you say it all the time that you've got to build from within.

"They've got Campbelltown out there, nothing going on out there, a huge junior nursery out there.

"Would (the Tigers) be better moving to Campbelltown? Building a great facility out there so kids out there in Campbelltown have something to strive for, rather than being at Concord? How much junior footy is played at Concord?"

Gould then explained that while the high-flying Panthers had bolstered their squad with several players from outside their junior system, at the core of Penrith's success is their organic talent.

Gould, who's now working as the Bulldogs' general manager of football, said the Tigers must follow the Panthers' blueprint in their bid to emerge from their decade-long woes.

The Mole: Panthers superstar threatens NRL rival's mantle

"I don't understand the base at Concord ... for the future of Wests Tigers," Gould said.

"And we talk about what happened at the Panthers ... and the academy and the junior league, the big junior league. At the Panthers, we had to recruit from outside the junior league. All the answers weren't in the junior league. We gave every junior player the opportunity to play for the Panthers and we developed them through.

"But Isaah Yeo and James Fisher-Harris and Matt Burton and ... Charlie Staines – they all came from outside. Corey Harawira-Naera and these players. They all came from New Zealand or NSW country when we expanded out into there.

"But (the Panthers) got the junior league right. Every kid that was in the junior league they got and they kept and they held and they're still playing there.

"And Wests Tigers haven't even done that. That's where they need to get to – and the biggest chance for (that) is south-west Sydney: out there in that Campbelltown group-six area, which is growing unbelievably, all the way from Campbelltown across to Penrith and out where the new airport is going to be and back into Liverpool ... The area is massive and no one is looking after it."

BS story as usual.Relocating fixes the coaching/player attitude issues in an instant....seriously.

The COE is a slap in the face to Gould and his cronies , if there is any truth that an academy for juniors is going ahead at Campbelltown this certainly places the Tigers as one of the major players in junior development in the Sydney basin .
You are not going to relocate everything to Campbelltown in the hope that one or two juniors will make the NRL in five yrs.
Things aren’t great at present but there are worried clubs in the basin that see what the Tigers could become hence Gould wanting the club to relocate and scuttle there plans .

A good COE at Concord along with a good Academy at Campbletown secures both areas and really limits the dogs growth

The club needs to make the Academy an urgency if there serious.
