Can We Beat The Raiders ??

To put it simply, if we show up and are 'switched on', we can beat ANY team.

If we don't show up, we're our own worst enemies and would struggle compete against some NSW Cup teams.

At the end of the day, it's up to us. Hopefully Sheens gets them watching the replay of Friday nights game and has them really fired up for the 80 minutes.

I watched the last 20 minutes of the Raiders v Roosters today and it was one of the lowest quality games ive seen for some time, the Raiders attack has nothing. Aslong as we keep Ferguson under control, and watch the sly runs of Mcrone who actually impressed me today, I think he has grown as a player having Campese back seeing as he doesnt have to control the team.

The only worry for mine is the forward battle, the Raiders may not have the attack to match us out wide but they definatly outweigh is up front with Brett White and Leroyd-Lahrs, if our forwards can muscle up and show some backbone that was missing against the Dragons then I think we can win well

I think in the past this is where we have the beaten the Raiders Tire their big forwards out and then destroy them up the middle after weathering the storm in the forwards . The game will be won in the first 30 minutes by the Tigers with how we can control their forwards We don't have to win the forward battle , just as long as we don't lose the forward battle if that makes sense

Given our performance on friday night, getting convincingly beaten by the dragons, I think Sheens would have/will be really digging into the team for that display. Generally, teams that convincingly get beaten seem to turn it around the following week (unfortunately, the dragons are an example). The 10 day turn around will be a bit of a boost, plus Campbelltown should really see the Tigers win this game, and turn their form around big time. Oh, and plus the absence of Dugan, and most probably Fensom. Feeling pretty confident about this one guys, and I believe we may be one of the Raiders 'bogey' sides too…

I see what you mean though after the Dragons game i am not particularly confident that we can withstand the storm

Of course we can beat them it just depends on which Tigers side turns up on Monday.

You'd have to think there are a lot of embarrassed players with a lot to prove to the fans and themselves after the last display. I fully expect we'll see a fired up Wests Tigers forward pack against the raiders.

wests-tigers are going to be contenders for this year, the proof will start on monday night against the raiders.
momentum will grow, a few wins will happen in a row, and the bad start to season will be put to rest.

If the rumour of Moltz playing one and Miller playing 7 is true, then yes, we will win. We will see us go into a game with a normal structure for the first time in years. Could be the beginning of going away fron Farah more which will actually give Robbie more freedom later in the year when other teams focus less on him.

i think after the start we have had , we will stand up , we will take control and out muscle their forwards , and then away we go with our backs , our for and against will be back to normal after monday night , tigers by 26

Fair assessment. Attitude is key.

umm sure if they decide to roll up there sleeves get dirty tackle play basics not throw it round like a hot potatoe and drop it there a chance.

how did it get to this point. Before the season it would of read 'when we beat the raiders'

some of us still believe :stuck_out_tongue:

I think we will clout them, similar to early last year although i don't wanna see rowdy stretchered off this time.

Stay tight in the middle, run their big guys around and hope the rain stays away which removes the huge advantage campo's big boot is and their lack of attack will be put on show badly.

Tigers 13+

WTs forwards should be shamed into hitting back this week so I'm not that concerned about their battle with the Raiders pack. Farah will be sorely missed and it is this adjustment combined with our organisation in attack that will be important from a WTs point of view. Campese could see this game as an opportunity to shine so he needs to be watched along with Ferguson.

I think we will play our best footy for the year and all the players will improve. I am thinking Mr Sheens has something up his sleeve for this game.
