Big big congratulations to the boys on such an emphatic victory. Some real prospects among them. Hope they really enjoy tonight and the next few days.

Talking of promising players in the Tigers ranks lets not forget that Tigers also won the S.G. Ball Cup earlier this year. Looking good - all that's needed is a Head Coach who is capable of nuturing and moulding this talent into a positive potent force.

Great win boys ,kick your feet up and celebrate you earned it

Just go to bring some of these blokes through to NRL now

Lovett Brown Sue Vela Mulcahy Paasi Fotuiki

Great win! I cant get to any games and have only seen a few on tv. Miller went well and we all know about Koroibete but the player that has gotten under my guard is Sauaso Sue. He looks the goods & I love his name!

I would also add Milky to the list. I believe he has a future at the Tigers

I've watched a fair bit of this team this year and the way they played yesterday was a sheer delight, they were all over Canberra, the Hombre had them peaking just at the right time. Congratulations and well done :sign:

It was a team playing as a unit, executing a game plan vs a side that has players who think they could do it themselves off the back of hail mary plays.

3 in most tackles and a smart kicking game and wait for the opportunities.

The back row was oustanding for Wests Tigers NYC

The most controlled and professional game by either of the WT's teams this season.
Everyone involved with the so-called 'firsts' should be forced to watch that game and learn from it.

Whos the bloke lying down in the front?
I think it was either #17 or #18???
He went well….has good ball playing skills...had the final hand in a few tries down the right side

SG Ball Premiers
TC Premiers
NSW Cup Runners Up
HM Semi Finalists

credit to our recruitment managers and with a proper coach we could well be a dominant force to come in the future

Credit must go to Andrew Webster who was looking after the WT 19's squad after the SG Ball finished. Mulcahy told him he was a Fullback/Winger, Andrew told him he that he should be playing 5/8 and played him there for a couple of the 19's games and he killed it. Probably wouldn't have got the call up to 20's if not for this change, not bad going from on the outer to Man of the match in the NYC Grand Final in 4 games.

lol had nothing to do with SG Ball and Webster. He has been fine tuning his halves game in Bundy, when given a chance by BNRU, to play there. They stuck with him and after some superb performances in the back end of the season, against the powerhouse sides, Todd gave him a shot in the last round against Storm. Rest is history…

Just some highlights of the game from Foxsports guys: http://www.foxsports.com.au/league/wests-tigers-claim-maiden-toyota-cup-premieship-with-46-6-victory-over-canberra-at-anz-stadium/story-e6frf3ou-1226484801535

I agree. A few of the boys had career best games and that's the sign of quality footballers. I'd say Sue, Akaoula and Santi put in season bests.
