Canterbury Bulldogs table four-year deals to lure James Tedesco and Aaron Woods from Wests Tigers

Well i guess it was inevitable, but our man of few words ex captain has had something to say.

"They can't blame me" and "I spoke to Woodsy the other day and he told me he didn't know how i went through what I did" are just a couple notable quotes.

I say they are gone and we should know by Thursday or mid next week at the latest. As for Woods he has been great for us for a long time, he is not a rip tear type front rower, just a big engine and high workload one, but he is not worth 900g a year, no front rower is rightly or wrongly. 700 would be my top dollar, we need to try and get 30 players on our books, with the majority of them NRL standard and that will chew up a lot of dollars.

Anyway with a blank canvas, Cleary should be able to put a good side together over the next few years, I am excited and I would love Teddy and Woods but not if ends up being a massive ball and chain around our progress

Teddy and Woods are rep level players, who might I add, made it playing for a club that is renowned for its poor management system and the team playing at the bottom of the ladder….fair enough they can demand bigger money and if they get it fair enough, move on,next please....However,if Moses wants and gets what he demands then he had pretty well start playing like an nrl player and rep player, because as far as I'm concerned he is still an apprentice nrl player...who was it that said...your not an nrl player until you have played 100 nrl games,Sheens I think, not sure....

You wouldn't pay an apprentice plumber full tradesmans wages, would you ?????sure he shows a lot of promise as most apprentices do,but until he completes his term and is doing what the tradie does fulltime, then you wouldn't pay him the big money, commonsense should prevail...Moses wants way to much based on his performances so far,I will pay on performances over a season,I don't pay for 2 seasons of potential.that hasn't given consistent results...

Didn't bouncing Benny virtually cripple the Balmain side of the JV by himself through that failed leagues club development, when in hindsight old Harry T should of been sought out for some expert advice from a developers perspective.

So true,i recall Moses was just about the worst player on the field in the all star game at the start of the year in which he was surrounded by good Nrl players,he is just not worth the amount he is asking for ATM.

The Balmain board went in with their eyes wide open but they also had the government's rail development plan threat to deal with

You can say Woods is not worth it SC but when two strong clubs target him it speaks volumes about his worth. You lose Woods and Tedesco and immediately the cost to bring others here immediately goes up .
Manly have got Marty Tapau on $750 Woods has got to be worth more. Perception goes a long way when players consider going to a new club - Cleary is a good start but until he signs a few I think we may have to be more than competitive in dollar value to secure the ones we want. Someone has to be paid overs - not sure who that will be.

I don't care if Woods is our best forward, its his personality that i don't like. He's a goose and a weak excuse of a leader.

Hello I have a question for you about Woods a lot of people think he is out side the top 6 props in the nrl

Question at the Tigers does he look so good because the other forwards are average and it's easy to stand out or is he a very good forward ?

Wonder what part Harry T has played in these negotiations?

He needs to throw Teddy a penthouse in exchange for his signature.

What has "Harry" ever done for the team?

If you really don't know what he has done and is still doing Mate - give yourself an uppercut!!!

Absolutely Chevy - one of the biggest developers in the southern hemisphere and Elias didn't even invite him to tender.

He could not afford to criticise anyone or anything in the WT - he has thrown Balmain out the back door and now he is trying his hardest to work on WT. The guy is a palooka!!!

Woods is a very good forward but he isn't worth big dollars.

There is an interview with Harry and he was upset that he did not get asked to rebuild the club and the new apartments and in the interview he says that it would have been built and the interviewer ask how…. Harry starts talking about knowing how to deal with problems and he's had them before But between the lines it sounds like he would have bribed the right persons

But with Benny the word was that he was going to get it done on the cheap and it backfired

Talk on the Warriors roster is that Matulino is looking for $750k not too much less than Woods.

Surely that can't be right. He's worth nowhere near that amount.

My God.
Matulino MAY be worth $750k…....over 3 seasons. He's basically a reserve grader I thought.
Woods for James Graham is a fair swap, would be happy with that.

The Warriors fans consider him their No 1 prop but he hasnt played much and is currently out.

Not many on that forum want him re-signed.
