Some amazing talent in that list. Really hoping we can pick up at least one centre in the next 12 months with the hope that at least one of Simona, Hoeter, Heleta and Seve can cement themselves as tigers first grade centres long term.

JAMES ROBERTS; Amazing speed and good strength. excellent finisher. Can also cover wing and fullback. Comes with a risk element as he has already been released by two sydney clubs previously for off field issues. However i dont think we are in a position to be playing it safe. Titans losing out on DCE will mean they have huge cap space available to keep who they want now. This likely puts him out of our price range anyway sadly :frowning:
RYAN MORGAN; Hard worker, doesnt seem to have bad games however doesnt have outstanding games either. Probably a safe and (hopefully) cheap bet to cover one centre spot for a year or so.
BLAKE FERGUSON; Past off field issues aside, freak of an athlete. No way roosters will let him go barring further of field incidents though. Another one out of our reach.

They would be the only three from the 2015 list i'd bother looking at. Personally i dont see any of the others in that list as any better prospects than Seve and Heleta.

All this ofcourse is assuming we have even a cent to spend on new recruits lol

SKD would've come in handy but that ships sailed. I still reckon Nofo will make a great centre, but I'll reserve my judgement for a while.

Mahe Fonua would probably be the only possibility on that list for this year. We don't really attract big guns.

With the emergence of Kata at Warriors, maybe the Tigers could make some enquires on Hurrell who's been out of favour a couple of times and injured the rest. Has some bad defence at times, but boy would he be a weapon in attack.

We really need some mongrel in the backline, a Tuiaki type lunatic who'll burrow over 3 guys to the line.

Auva'a- based on his off field dramas no but he is a pretty decent player would be great pick up
Tighe- Speed to burn and let's be honest would be an upgrade on most of our centres
Loko- Was doing pretty well for parra, hes big and pretty agile I wouldnt mind him.
Morgan- Solid not really spectacular and is always doing the 1%.

Being serious -

Given how much coin we have to spend, take away the grubs/off field dopes and all the plodders.

That list really doesn't have much to offer - what youngsters we have are just as good as any that remain.

So nobody on that list for me.

Aaron Gray would be good, and he wouldn't be a huge price, but we need a centre, because ours are not cutting it.

Does that discount BJ Leilua?

I'd be surprised if we end up with anyone better than Ryan Morgan. Frankly, I'd rather persevere with Dave & Tim.

yep peyroux for sure
dane nielsen played for qld a couple of years ago while at storm, he would be better than most of ours.
loko is also a very talented guy- a freak in the mould of roberts, ferguson et al however iirc had some off field issues

someone in another thread said whare was off contract- i hate you for getting my hopes up.

wouldnt even enquire ferguson, roberts, SKD, jennings etc.. they wouldnt come here even if we paid 50% overs.

I mentioned in another thread but Kevin Gordon is struggling to make first grade at the Titans.
Has he played much centre? We could do with him if he has, even as winger he would be good here.

James Roberts - Will be hitting his prime in the next 12 months, so definately worth a crack. Titans will have plenty of spare coin now so hardly likely they will let him go.

Hymel Hunt - He is getting bigger and bigger and looks more likely a Backrowers these days, but still has speed to burn.

Shaun Nona - Played mainly 5/8 but is big enough; fast enough; defends well and way too good to be playing Qld Cup!

Nona might of been OK until he got mixed up with that Easts mob up at Dance Dramas Stadium

Roberts re-signed, he would have been great.

I think Dominique Peyroux would be a good depth signing for the club.

I've only seen him a few times with the Warriors, but I thought he was bog ordinary at the Titans.

Ware is a very good speedy centre - but why would he leave the Panthers.

I take him - but you need coin for that.

We need coin for a lot of things, not just a centre Russ…..that is our most severe problem ...lack of finances...
