CEO - Shane Richardson

Im happy to donate a kidney and chuck in a couple of pints of blood for Richo if he needs it.

Hes got a choice, ill take Galvos transfer fee or he can reply to my email of last July.

I reckon he'll pony up!!

On a more serious note, imho he lives for all these challenges, hed break down completely if the club wasnt on fire somewhere!

Thats how he rolls - he wont die wondering at the Wests Tigers.

I wish him the absolute best on the old health front and in his decision making.

I think people need to understand that is not as easy for player swaps as some might think.

We have the best operator running things and if there is no player swap there must be a good reason for it.

I hate waiting like most, but we need to give him time to wrap this Galvin thing up first. He knows he needs to bring in talent as he has already stated that and he know if we go backwards there is a chance he may lose Laui etc..

This is the week the club needs to make a bold statement.
For real - been saying it for the last couple of weeks, but THIS week is the one that absolutely needs positive news. Sounds like a lot is at play.

I personally don't think Galvin leaving at this point of his career weakens us tremendously - but we are in desperate need of a some first graders on the edges.

Im prepared to chill if it means we make the right decision, but you are right about the edges.

With cash, cap and contingencies, one wrong move and we could pay pretty dearly.

i think we will sign some talent and be ok roster wise tbh. Maybe its getting down to options behind closed doors.

Weve been planning for bratfinks departure for some time now.

There simply arent any other coaches in our game who have been flogged by that kind of margin.

Its not just the score.

Somehow Benji got them to play a lot worse than they had been.

They might have performed better if he hadnt coached them at all that week. We didnt do much right.

It shows that hes not only vulnerable but unreliable.

We should turn our minds to managing his exit with the grace and dignity we deserve.

Whenever that is.
Are you saying that the players are absolved from their performance and personal preparation?

No.

I said Benji had no impact (on getting them to perform to their optimum).

Its his job to ensure they have a swing, mentally and physically.

Im sure he tried, but was unable to get through to them. Thats a grave concern.

If he is the real deal and his problem is a chronic hammie I’d write off this year and send him to the best hammie doctor in the U.S. Bring him back next year ready and rearing to go. Having said that I’m not sure he is the real deal but plenty on here think he is. We’ll just have to get by this year without him and the little creep and do the best we can.
Maybe that is what they are going to use the $165K for seeing as we can't use it for cap.

Rather use it for that than long lunches for the Holman Barnes Group Board.

I'll give him until next year to make the bottom end of the 8. At this stage he has achieved nothing other than getting some names in.

We have a proven winner in Jerome Luai. Unfortunately we are paying 1.4m for a half with an average kicking game, who has demonstrated no game management skills (we used to have a half like that on a bit less). Then again the whole team has no direction, so maybe he is playing to the coaches instructions.

We have just lost a player who has big wraps on him for nothing more than more than a payout. Hopefully it goes as well as the Matterson mirror image.

A lot of this comes down to what Galvin becomes. A different situation to the big 4 as they were off contract. Previous management was lambasted for losing Aloiai & Matterson, who will be best.

I want to see Richo achieve results. Until he does he is another in the conga line of saviours which has included Chairman Lee (the rich benefactor equivalent of Politis), Pascoe, Premiership winning coaches (Madge & Sheens MkII), Cleary. What have any of these people produced?

I sit in hope that there is a plan, and not another change of direction in 18 months.

I wonder what the hold up has been with those signings he mentioned - because the club, like you said, need positive news stories.

Yup - I'm looking forward to him landing at his next club, and not being happy there either. Could very well go the Aaron Woods route.
You mean moving to Canterbury, then over a relatively short period of time,Cronulla, St.George, Manly then retirement and no representative football to go along with all the moves all in a matter of 5 or 6 years.

I could live with that.

wot.

I will give Richo this year to see how he forms the squad for 26 & 27 before making a call.

We have cash and alot of roster decisions to make.

Being creative financially and building a competitive squad is the true test.
