CEO - Shane Richardson

This is Benjis' 3rd year Coaching the attack of this side...
Been no structure the Entire tenure.
Its his 2nd year

The year with sheens he was an apprentice simply learning... Its like blaming an apprentice on a building site that the structure of the building was all fkd up when he was simply taking directions..

Pole said in his presser a few weeks back that Benji Introduced his new structures and processes last year (reinforcing this is when Benji got the chance to start implementing what he wanted).

Pole also said that this is a big reason why there is more success this year cause it took them alot of time last year to get their heads around it.

Benji came into the role with 0 coaching experience
Unheard of in the NRL.
All things considered he's doing a good job.

Also, we need someone coaching who bleeds the tigers... Benji does.

Weve had to many fly by nighters who don't give a fk about the tigers as a club... Its just a job...
This is more than a job to Benji..

Under Sheens - He was the Attack coach
Farah was the Defense Coach.
Sheens said it himself...
I'm not blaming the apprentice for our shite attack....
I'm blaming the attack coach.

If he's underskilled - Don't take the job.
I don't see the blokes refuelling the plane putting on a set of aviator sunnies a hat and a badge and then flying the things!!

Benji the apprentice taking directions 😂😂😂
How many apprentices are getting the site manager (Sheens) sacked - For the 2nd time.
so they can take over the project before they've finished the 1st year of their apprenticeship?

So why have we not signed May Jnr , yes there is risk but , no risk no reward .
Where are the 3 players he said he HAD signed and would come out in 2 to 3 weeks , it’s a bad look , Galvin shit is done , origin is done , we have had no good news reading for about 5 weeks now , Richo needs to bring it now and it better be good and not 3 upgrades or 3 full time reserve graders , I hope he is not starting to develop a shakey look , blurting stuff out that is not true , if it was me and I had signed players I would have announced them one after the other to deaden the Galvin noise down and show players are coming hear whitest some are leaving
He didnt say three players....he said 2 or 3 weeks

Yeah cool that was his title

Serious question

How much coaching experience had Benji had before becoming the attack coach?

If you can't understand where I'm coming from then I'll just let this convo go.

Honest question here … Did he actually say he had the three players “signed” ? I should relook at the interview , but I hate listening to Graham’s shyte accent
SR: Weve got a poultice? of money. and we got an idea of what we need to make the team stronger, were in the market place and we'll make announcement over the next 2 or 3 weeks on the players weve signed or otherwise which will be exciting for the club

JG: Are these players from outside the current roster

SR: Yes

Thanks mate … “or otherwise “ is interesting

Needs to announce 8 signings to make a top 30 in 2026.
Correct, but even more pressing, he needs 3 of those before June 30 so that we are cap compliant.

I can just see 3 nuffies from our lower grades getting a promotion and if so, It better only be to the end of this season and not offered the usual 3 year deal because they have potential.

The clock is ticking, hope it's not a time bomb, but then many would say that this place has already been blown up or at the very least should be. ⏰

Hard to believe some people are still blaming the coach after all these years. Fair dinkum, even Ivan Cleary couldn't do much with us.

We're still at the start of a rebuild of the entire club from the ground up.

And Richo's not even a year into undoing years of bad work.

Sketchy membership numbers, finances that are millions of dollars in the red, being the club that no parent wants their kid to play for. It's a long list.

There's still a fair bit of work to be done.

Although we've had a few shockers this year there are enough green shots too. Ditching the coach isn't the answer.

Except give us the best defence that we’ve ever had in our existence. There is definitely truth to the fact that our problems go deeper than who’s coaching us. I’ve always said that. However we do ourselves no favours, appointing someone with no experience, all because he’s a club legend. No other club in the competition would have done that. When you think about it, it’s one of the symptoms of the deeper seeded issues and shows why we have been so poorly run for years.
