Fox sports reporting tigers have sounded out Chad Townsend. With so much stars off contract at the sharks..holmes, lewis, bird, townsend, prior. They will do what they can to keep bird and with holmes playing fullback it will most likel be a bird/maloney halves pairing. Id take townsed anyday. If we decide to keep moses he wll be the level head needed to show composure. Let brooks go to the dogs and lets try to add a premiership winning half to our roster.

I totally disagree, I think Jack Bird is under-used at Cronulla.

The main problem with Bird is I think he's a natural fullback and Sharks already have Holmes - and we have Teddy.

Maybe you could groom Bird for the backrow but he's a little skinny for that just now.

But I think he's a quality footballer and just 22 years old.

Sure but Curtis Sironen came through as a 5/8th, I'm talking about his frame in NRL.

Because for once in a long time we can afford just about everyone if we are smart.
Bird and Townsend would be great. Probably not far off what we were willing to pay these two jokes we have now.

Townsend only works behind a good pack. If we don't fix our pack and defence then we shouldn't chase him.
