If indeed the club has already internally decided he will not be part of 2021, they will probably have that discussion and allow him to move on. Maybe he is setting up his next move if he wants to go on another year so when that is apparent he’ll make the call,

This is what I am hoping for, Benji has had ample opportunity to say this is his last year, he has been asked numerous times on FOX, he always jokes around and never answers the question. He no doubt wants to play on, it is a question of how dumb are club are as to the outcome of this

The whole joking around thing irritates me so much - I dont want to say this disrespectfully but he has to get over himself, youre a legend of the game but its time for him to hang up the boots, joking around like that just feels like a slap in the face tbh.

I think it would be wise if the club just shut the hell up this week before we play a team sitting comfortably on top of the ladder. Whether positive or negative in vibe, we should be putting our heads down and offer nothing to the media that will make us look stupid.

DT at it again this morning pouring more fuel on the fire. And of course J Rey took the bait.

My response to Reynolds:
Then prove everyone wrong and start winning some football games!

If the coach picked him at 6 and not 9 or 14 this may actually occur, it happened earlier this year

Probably best for Reynolds not to comment on that. The WT have set him up for life and he's given us nothing in return.

Yeah, not sure what he's trying to achieve by commenting. Nothing positive could come from it.

Chris McQueen has subsequently also posted on it. Not much self awareness from those blokes.

What was his post?

That clip never gets old, but at least his has the plums to question the officiating, I wish Madge would

Dont think there is any benefit in it, either gets fined or an apology from Anessley who does the review on Mondays. Think id rather he focus on fixing the mistakes that we have made to put us in a position to be vulnerable.

Maybe, but we always seem to be on the wrong end of calls, unlike Parra this year who get a stack of great calls

Why is everyone trying to downplay it, it's a fued, embrace it, do people actually think they are going to go easy on us if we don't annoy them. STUFF THEM. After the last four do or die season on the line games where our team haven't showed up, maybe this is the way to get them to invest emotionally like we do.
Lee, don't be a lawyer, be our chairman, pick a fight, make it personal like it is for us, they are going to beat us anyway, let's get dirty and hopefully the players will have a go.

Because it's a one way fight.

Penrith fans are laughing right now. 10 on the trot, likely to be 11. Even if we do beat them, they'll still be going to at least week 2 of the finals and we'll be once again wishing we were there.

Everything worked out great for Ivan and Penrith. They all got what they wanted. I said this when he left, the integrity/loyalty barbs will only sting for so long, and they don't hurt as much when you have a five year contract. They'll mean nothing if he carries Provan and Summons out of ANZ Stadium too.

I hate the bloke for what he did, don't get me wrong, but let's not kid ourselves into thinking Penrith fans have it for us, they don't care about us. If anything they find it amusing because they benefit from dodgy dealings and we were supposed to have gone on to greater things with a better coach, and we're stuck exactly where we always have been while they are a real chance of a premiership.

This x 1000. I have a heap of Penrith mates, and they don't hate the Tigers at all. They pity us, think we're a joke.

Re: Chris McQueen - what a dumb move. The fans have mostly left him alone, despite his enormous salary. Why? Because we forgot he exists. You never see him in any club media. You never hear a word from him. Him piping up now only gives us keyboard warriors ammunition.

Mate we are going to lose, hands down, much like we played the last few season on the line games. The chairman's comments enraged me, how can any tigers fan not, and fans just giving in like our players. Other clubs relish feuds, it feeds the passion, raises hopes, makes the games personal and were not into it, exp plains so much why our team plays with no heart.
