Departing coaches leaving a trail of wreckage in their wake isn't a new thing. Anyone remember Wayne's effort at Newcastle? No point rehashing the past. Cleary has gone and it now falls to Madge to work towards a roster that fits his vision for the club going forward. This won't happen overnight unfortunately. Still believe we now have the right guy in charge and that success will come. Noticed The Mole today talking about a big player clean out at WT. With standing contracts that might take awhile but it needs to happen and the sooner we start the better.

If they re-sign him for next year we may as well just give it up.

No it needed to be done last year when Farah went, but you are right it needs addressing now, we can’t be dictated to by a 35 year old half who is no longer an NRL level player

Just a thought. Maybe the club is giving Benji the option to walk away rather than be unceremoniously dumped.

If indeed the club has already internally decided he will not be part of 2021, they will probably have that discussion and allow him to move on. Maybe he is setting up his next move if he wants to go on another year so when that is apparent he'll make the call, but you could imagine the absolute meltdown the greater (i.e. the more "casual" if you will,) fanbase will have if the club "gives him the push." The wider fanbase still has a great adoration for Benji and it could have backlash against the club.

Look at what happened with Farah, they'll be desperate not to make that mistake again.

Lee is possibly being diplomatic. Unless of course they do want him around and they sign him again, in which case the club is nuts.

He is stating all the right things that professionals state. I can see a golden era for the Tigers where we at least make the finals for a long period of time.

So are players tanking? Reynolds should never wear our jersey again if he is making light of the situation. If he is salty he has 750,000 good reasons not to be (every year for 4 years). Most of the people I know are struggling at the moment, as am I, and it would be nice if these pretenders just played better and kept their mouths shut.
