Chammas has to write something, I mean it's his job, but let's not let facts get in the way of a good story. It's how journos work these days.

Chammas has had about 15 articles lined up for the last 6 rounds, depending on how well or badly the Tigers did. He certainly didn't do his two-part expose ring-around the day before Tigers shaped up against Bulldogs. Bloke is obsessed.

He is riding his mate Flanno into the job

Is Flanno enjoying the experience?

My mind boggles that a bloke done for systematic drug cheating, salary cap cheating and failure to adhere to his ban somehow still has a life in the NRL, pushed and promoted not just by the flogs at Foxtel but also blokes in the Herald - that's cross-media and cross-platform reach that Flanno has.

The fox coverage is compromised to a ridiculous level at the moment. For one they're desperately spruiking Flanno for a coaching gig (anyone will do). They've also go old mate Braiff giving punditry on his own clients, without any disclosure.

Someone is leaking this information no doubt.

You have to ask yourself why?

After a period of relative calm, we have again recently become leakier than those water bottles that trainers run onto the field with

Delusional thinking its Farah.

Ill put mine on the club releasing information to justify the sacking of the head coach thats about to happen.

I would say you're right

I’d say they did that the moment they agreed to Fox sports to film our season.

Can i ask a question .....when we played our best footy this season ...Robbie was our main runner .....obviously he delivers the message well and get it across well ...the players listen ....

True ????

Very true actually. He hasn’t been in Queensland has he?
I do think he is a good conduit between the coaching staff and the players.
Are you saying Madge has the right messages but when Robbie hasn’t been involved there’s a bit lost in translation?

Backpage of DT again tomorrow. And the great judge of RL talent, Paul Crawley will rank the entire squad.

Be interesting to see if any player gets higher than a 5 out of 10?

Can't stand Crawley but if the coaches job is on the line because of the teams performance, and he is not in full control of recruitment, then each player needs to be also assessed on their performance and be held accountable. If the club is not going to do it then some one needed to.

Is that the official rankings?

When the club leaves a vacuum in communication and owning the narrative, the media steps in to fill the void. Another season end with no finals and we stay in the news for all the wrong reasons. And so the pre season begins.

Agree with most of your rankings, except for Brooks. No way he is a 5. More like 3.5.

Blokes a germ

So it's Chammas's fault we got beaten 38-0 ......

So did warriors where's there 3 part series.

Don't believe the media and try to see their hidden agenda

Throughout today alone there has been about 3 or 4 negative stories on Fox about the Tigers failings and Maguire's failings as a coach etc. You'd think we had just won the spoon. There's 3 other teams who finished below the Tigers yet I never see them copping it from pillar to post.

We just got beaten 38-0 by the team that got the spoon. We deserve this.

I'm not saying we don't deserve a bit of stick however it's the same rhetoric every 2nd day of the week. I'm all for an end of season review, blow it up and start fresh however the media dribble is over the top. Warriors got pumped 44-0 yesterday, Cows, Broncos and Dogs all finished below us and barely a sniff of negative press.

And, it's all generated by Michael Chammas and then the other lazy reporters and TV presenters who buy into his anti-Maguire vitriol and present it as "fact".

Forget the results or the inconsistent defence or the narrow losses or the weekly team selections; the worst decision of the club, and I assume Maguire, was allowing that Fox Sports doco to take place.

Now, many on here who watched it use it to create rumours that validate their biases and use it as "evidence" to tell the rest of us, the thinking and reasoned WT fans, what "has" to happen next.

And, the likes of Chammas, fuelled by his weird fascination and fatuation for Benji Marshall, is happy to add to the drip-feed of headlines that destabilise the WT club.

Yeah agreed, I can't help but feel it would have been better served doing such a doco with one of the more successful clubs. Don't get me wrong it was somewhat enjoyable in part to watch and see behind the scenes however for the most part exposed all the bad and very bad within the organization.

The club needs no help on the destabilising issue they have this all sown up they are the masters of destabilisation have been for decades !

Its interesting that he throws Flanagan up as potential coach. I remember one game where we were getting beaten and Flanagan said our "defensive structure was good" it was just that we couldn't stick to it. I'm not a Madge fan but who do you blame if Flanagan is right. The players for not sticking to the plan or the coach for continually picking the players who don't follow the plan.

The problem we have is some players just dont seem to have any idea about knowing how to follow a plan,we also lack decent experienced players who can.Far too many brain explosions amongst them

It will be interesting to see what his ranking criteria is. For me, based on talent and commitment - Stefano, Daine Laurie definitely will. Twal and Douihie probably will. Wow - now I start scratching my head. That really is sad. We need a coach who can get these players up in this sort of ranking test and we need to show the door to players not capable or committed to improving themselves.

Ive been getting non stop emails from the Herald since reading the first instalment of Chammas' dribble. Has anyone agreed to a subscription? LOL

The bit for me against the players is, they had a few good defensive games, so they know what is required, but they just don’t do it often. When they cross on to the field, everything is on them to perform, imo. I mean a $350k a season player is on $6,730 per week, surely it’s better pay than council work?
