Please help. David Nofoaluma is one of my favorite players when we have the ball. He makes great metres an, busts a stack of tackles and can score a try. Even in defense when he can find someone to tackle, he hits them hard. Sadly, David can't see to his right which means any opposition player standing to his right has a free passage to the line. You can help David by yelling "stay on your wing" every time the opposition has the ball. If you could yell out pantomime style "he's outside of you" you can help David where the Tigers coaching staff apparently can't. Thanks for help.

Im not sure its his fault. Tonight i felt our right centre (both Kev and later MCK) both go for the backrower running his line leaving the opposition centre open, Nofo then has to come in on the open centre.

Fixing our right side defence may be as simple as the the right centre trusting Moses more.

I will watch this area very closely in coming weeks to see if it is as simple as that.

Naiqama fault try 1 and definitely Jesse's fault try 2

Have not seen a replay, but thought the numbers were a problem for the first try and started at or inside Sue.

I saw Moses go for the glory intercept and take no one leaving Nofo stranded

Yep agree.

Moses got caught out there and just had to stay on his man and its an easy save. Another time Kev took the wrong man leaving Nofo taking on 2 attackers. 3rd time same thing when MCK took the wrong man leaving Nofo with a 2 on one situation again. The porblem is coming from our centre not trusting Moses to make the play sliding out on the lead runner.

Id say the problem starts most times with moses rushing up and leaving everyone outside him confused on what to do. Moses either wants the intercept or the hero shot but generally misses both. Stop move up together it cant be that hard.

Are you talking about Goodwin's 2nd Try where Sauaso was defending with Moses Chee-Kam and Nofoaluma…

Sauaso would have needed to be a combo of Superman and the Flash to stop that ...

Goodwin's 3rd TRY where Sutton got on his outside was when Teddy was off in the 76th minute he was at centre with Moses on his outside who went for the intercept giving Goodwin a passage and Nofoaluma couldn't get across from fullback..

Has nothing to do with Moses going for the intercept , damage was done the minute Sutton got on Jesse's outside ….

Was my one big concern playing Sue in the back row and on an edge , you stand him up and then beat him on the outside , any player with a modicum of talent will be looking for that match up

Don't leave your Wingman Mav as Goose was often heard to say…

Mav was a Goose (Scientologist same thing )

As I've said a thousand times before , you stand the man up , get on his outside , straighten and you have created the overlap

Prince was brilliant at it , his biggest attacking strength , especially when he straightened , his timing was usually impeccable

Blame is at Sue's feet , Ides of March …....

stay on your wing might work in U15s, but he can prevent tries by jamming. if he stays on his wing theyll just run inside him and past naiqama/moses instead

it has nothing to do with him, put him outside morris or hayne inside him and see him do 10x better in D

What's the point of staying on your wing if the rest of the defensive line shuffles in one. Centre slides you shift in hoping to shut down the inside man. Hard to pull off but better than leaving an open man to stroll in untouched.

We were so compressed last night, the wingers were always going to have a hard time if Souths could get the ball wide. Lucky for us it only happened a couple of times. If Moses was playing for Souths, with his vision and passing game Goodwin would have scored 10 trys. Certainly a lot work is still needed to come up with a effective defensive structure

I've been watching on replay this morning with some pausing and checking our defence have reivew the tries

1st try - if he doesen't take the centre the centre scores. Tedesco covering should have taken the winger when he got their but in reality it was just a good early play executed well

2nd try - other side of the field but issue was Teddy packed in the scrum and team assumed Inglis couldn't run at all

3rd try - Teddy knocked on in goal leading the bunnies ball. The issues in the play were that Moses took no one but should have gone out although the cover was poor inside which was a risk and then Chee-Kam had come in too far leaving Nofa with a 2 on 1 situation which he did the best he could. If he took the inside man then its the same result, if takes the outside man they have scored before the cover comes so he tried to hold off as long as possible and pressure the pass whihc was right decision. Kevvie was on the other side by this time as Suli went off

4th try - Chee Kam made the previous tackle so was out of the line. Sue got palmed off by Sutton, Moses went for a stupid intercept instead of the tackle - Nofa was the cover defender not in the line and he made a valiant effort to get back

So while that side has some defensive issues they didn't seem to have much to do with Nofa last night
