Changes for game 2....

ye.. it's good ricky realised the mistake soon and put farah back in.
should've realised when buhrer did that pass close to the line, u need a specialist hooker for that.

I would leave Buhrer out for someone. Maybe another prop. Someone who can give a good strong 15-20 minute stint. Has to be mobile. Mannah I think. Woods I would hold off for now.

Tony Williams needs many many MANY more minutes. He played maybe 10 - 15 minutes, and while people might argue it was because he was unfit, then you have to question why he was picked in the first place.

Buhrer's contribution was a failed pass from dummy half 5 metres out of opposition territory, we should take a leaf out of Queensland's book and have 4 forwards. Watmough for Buhrer.

It's clear Watmough is out of favour with NSW selectors, but I can't see anyone more deserving.

Just Creagh and Buhrer for mine. Would have liked to have seen Robbie's pass from dummy half at at the QLD line rather than Buhrer's pass to the grass.

Watmough in for buhrer, that is all. Please not another 4 or 5 changes unless injuries strike. Stick with them.

And a Valium for Jennings…..turned the game that one brain snap

The refs allowed QLD to absolutely mangle us in the ruck. Hayne would never have allowed them to stay in the tackle for that long. He would've laid done the LAW

You are bloody kidding aren't you

Watch the game again and turn the sound up Referees are screaming at Qld to take their hands out of the ruck No wonder you blokes were continually getting on a roll

Were extremely quiet when NSW where defending though

My point exactly. The refs screamed at them again and again and did nothing about it. The QLD players just held on and kept doing it. The first 1 or 2 times you let it go, but if they're continually spending too much time in the ruck, then you call a penalty. That's the way it works in every other game

I haven't seen tackling that dirty even in a Storm game.

Hayne to fullback= Brett Stewart gone,Brett Morris to the Wing. Buehrer gone Watmough in and Ben Creagh gone Aaron Woods in. As much as i didn't want Want Trent Merrin he showed good energy and controlled aggression , i would more than likely have Keith Galloway or Kade Snowden instead of Merrin though , we were 1 frontrower short IMO

That's the changes I said last night we need chock there

Yep, I think this is all that is required. Bring in Watmough and another prop be it Woods, Galloway or whoever.

I think Hayne is a better fullback than Stewart, but I think keep Stewart at the back with Hayne on the wing. Stewart again he did nothing in attack and proves to me that he relies on others for opportunities and cannot create them on his own. In saying that, Stewart was solid but not spectacular at the back and playing Hayne on the wing with reduced responsibility saw him thrive.

The NSW forwards were good however Buhrer and Creagh are a waste of space. I'd put Galloway as a starting prop and push Gallen into the backrow. Luke Lewis goes to the bench. Add Watmough to the bench as well and that should complete the pack. Woods could get a spot but I would save him until next year.

The halves for NSW have very little ability - maybe Carney has the skillset but he was poor. I'm not sold on Pearce and I think he should be replaced. I'm not sure who to pick here but we need a change.

I don't think Stewart at the back is good enough - maybe bring Dugan in if he is in form.

Hayne is the player most likely to make a bust or do something but he looked real good roaming everywhere from the wing. Maybe you could move him into the halves or to fullback but its a hard call.

That's the problem though. They might not have been brilliant but who else is there? I wouldn't say Thurston and Cronk were carving us up either. They scored 3 tries, 2 of which were basically the same thing (Uate not trusting Morris and coming in) and the third was the infamous GI try. We're a lot of linebreaks.

I still think Carney and Pearce are the best options at the moment and they'll be better for game 2\. NSW needs to work on their kicking game. Too many deep kicks were caught on the full.

I'd change the bench only. We NEED stability.
Maybe big Keith maybe whatmau for the nuffy with the headgear.
Others have said Woods, he's still too young

I'd bring Woods in and look long and hard at bringint Galloway in also. NSW need a bit more penetration in the forwards IMO.

I'd like to see:

1\. Dugan
2\. Hayne
3\. Jennings
4\. Lawrence
5\. Uate
6\. Carney
7\. Pearce
8\. Galloway
9\. Farah
10\. Tamou
11\. Bird
12\. Whatmough
13\. Gallen

14\. Lewis
15\. Woods
16\. Merrin
17\. Williams

I agree - I have no idea who to put there.

I still think that they need greater impact in those key positions. You could see the difference Robbie made out there. You could tell Hayne was the most likely player to make a bust.

OK
Stewart
Hayne
Jennings
Morris
Carney (chance)
Pearce
Gallen
Farah
Tamou
Lewis
Bird
Merrin
Williams

KO
Uate - Morris
Stewart - Watmough
Buhrer - Hynchcliffe
Creagh - Woods

And Jennings. Those two looked most likely. Morris was at best solid (as per usual) and Uate was a mixed bag. Jennings looked like someone had given him a pretty massive rev up before he ran out - he was going gangbusters with and without the ball.

Buhrer is a bench player for Manly at best-needs to be as far away from NSW team as possible. Creagh must be related to one of the selectors-needs to be punted for Watmough. Minichiello should be brought in to replace Stewart, he is solid and more energetic in attack and defence.
Referee's were DISGRACEFUL…but that is just par for the course these days in the NRL. Something needs to be done about the widespread incompetence IMO

Same starting 13 is a must, we dominated the opening 20.

A bit more punch is needed off the bench, Watmough is a must, in for Buhrer.
If we MUST have a utility there then bring Hinchcliffe in as well for Creagh. If Farah plays 80 Hinchcliffe can be used in the back row to keep things tight.

We don't need any more changes, the Blues have more improvement in them than the Maroons:
-the nerves got the better of Carney, he will be better for the run
-T Rex will have more games under his belt and hopefully will be able to play more minutes
-the NSW spine has more game time under it's belt as a unit
-game 2 is in front of 80k NSW fans, not a Melbourne crowd which is probably more pro Qld.
-Jennings isn't going to get himself binned again which turned the game

Win game 2, and go to Suncorp with momentum and confidence ahead of the decider.
