Changes

Just on offloads - it's getting beyond a joke now, and clearly a coaching instruction.
Lawrence has one offload in 704 mins of football in 2016.

JT has no guts, he is to scared to drop Dene Halatau but is well within his rights too… Siro was a step in the right direction but that obviously backfired so hopefully that happens again.. If JT doesn't bring in guys like JAC or MCK when we have no hope of making the 8 JT can go .... PAGING CRAIG BELLAMY..

What do you guys reckon??

Looking at your profile picture, why did you not call for Brooks to be dropped ?

He is having a lot more bad games than good ones.
Put him on the chopping board too

Lol.. Brooksy is not one of my favourite players but I believe while the halves have made many errors over the last 10 rounds I think if changes are going to have to be made the forwards need to be dropped and bring in guys that are having a real go in ISP, there is no point saying Brooks or Moses has to be dropped cos we all know by now that JT has made it very clear that he won't.

On another note I think having Asepeli Fine in the centres would have huge rewards as is is now quite evident that Kevin Niaqama is not big enough to made tackles on solid guys..

At least guys like Paul Sironen and Blocker Roach aren't coming out and saying it's going to take 10 years for us to turn around, like Andrew Johns said about the Knights today.

Yeah! I noticed Kev is not big enough to make tackles on solid guys, when he hit Klemmer in the bread basket and sat him on his backside.

I think some simple things could make a big difference.

Better kicking game. We must be the only team that NEVER puts up an attqcking cross field kick when 20 out. Probably becuase we have midget wingers but cmon, constantly grubbering into opposition shins needs to change. As others have stated, we dont get repeat sets, and end up doing more tackling than other teams. Puts us at a disadvantage.

Allow a few offloads, second phase play as absent.

Quicker play the balls. Despite having a relatively young team, we look like pensioners in the play the ball conpared to other teams. We lose the ruck more often than not.

I guess it sounds easy but I think these are the 3 standout areas we fall behind most teams.

Kevvy hasn't been going great the last 3 games odd but I'm not being biased when I say this, he is still one of the better one on one defenders.
Hits and sticks a lot of units down and he is NEVER afraid to make a tackle regardless the bloke he is about to hit.

Sadly his defensive reads have been shot recently, Nofo had one shocker and seems to have put Kevvy off too.
Now they don't seem to be on the same page

Three changes I'd like to see:

-Forwards looking for offloads
-Backs trailing forwards looking for offloads
-Halves kicking for open space

We are last in the league for offloads and we would be close to last for long kicks hitting the turf.

Midfield bombs are allowing fullbacks to make extra yardage coming back - helping opposition forwards who dont need to track back so far.

Lack of 2nd phase play is also making it easier for opposing teams to defend us - impacting our ability to make yardage and conserving energy for their attack.

Couldn't agree more with this. Even if forwards trail each other to the line. Woods & Taylor did it once last week & that opened up a gap for Moses to sprint through & score. We haven't got the size or mungrel in our pack just to rely on 1-out stuff effectively, that was blatantly obvious v the dogs.

We have backs who can rip a game open in broken field so looking for offloads, backing up in support, inside/outside plays, promoting the ball amongst forwards etc. would allow us to play to our strengths much better.

We can't keep relying on that sweeping backline play as opposition teams are just defending is over the sideline!

And seriously what do we have to do to get some damn line-speed in defence??!!

JT in his press conference said the same old thing….and he said that the halves basically did what they could under the circumstances blah blah blah.

So basically, don't expect any changes this week unless there are some injuries.

Same old rubbish....same old result.

I almost hope Newc win.....if only to bring this circus to an end at the Tigers.

I like to see this ongoing circus end too WT. And all the clowns to be shown the door.

We are coached that badly im starting to wonder if its deliberate…!

The problem is that we look poorly coached. Last year we had the 5 hit-ups and then a bomb. That took us to last on the ladder (2nd last using semantics). We heard all about structures and how we were improving. People on here were actually backing Taylor up. They are probably still doing it.

This year the same thing appears to be happening. For instance the bomb as the only tactic is happening again. We play our halves set on each side of the ruck. The forwards hardly ever off load. Defensively the players seem out of sync.

We just look a complete mess.

Admittedly I thought that this season for us to be successful the halves had to kick on and Siro did as well. That hasn't happened. I also thought Taylor was the biggest risk because he comes up with dud game plans. I think Taylor is doing everything possible to prove that he is a terrible coach.

Just wondering what has happened to Sironen…. Has he been shopped around and maybe just maybe its the knights??..

If you look at the few games we have won, right from the kick off we have had a forwards rip up the middle, get a quick play the ball, than another forward has done the same and than a quick shift on tackle four or five and this has happened every set for at least the first 30 minutes. Lots of energy and things done at pace. Than you look at the games we have lost, the complete opposite, outside maybe the first two sets, the plod sets in. Than they start looking for easy options by going for miracle plays. Now that is the attack.

As for defence, it is basically not to bad except for Brooks and Nagamia. They are leaking so many points it is not funny. Week in and week out they are rushing out of the line and gifting teams massive overlaps. I suppose what worries me is they are not getting any better and they are not getting dropped
