"chasing 3 premierships in 5 years"

I read this about Des Hasler. It made me think of Tim Sheens. It made me feel melancholic. Des Hasler it said - the new super age coach. Maybe Tim will come good again. In afraid he"ll be around for at least a couple more years, or if we make the 8 next season then at least a few more years. Benji, Robbie & Tim are connected. & since he wont leave maybe Tim should go to the USA in the off season - back to school. If its good enough for Rodney Dangerfield then should be good enough for Tim.

Hasler, Bellamy and Bennett coached teams all have 3 things in common when asked by the media about their technique…

"we all have a designated job out there on the field"
"we have a structure and work for each other"
"we are under pressure to perform to stay in this great team"

Sheens sides have none of these, its more like...

"We have to start winning at this time of the season"
"We are trying new combinations"
"We are not happy with how we are playing but we have a great team"

I'd rate Hasler above all of them

With the Storm salary cap fiasco, he's definitely the best coach in the last five years without shadow of a doubt.

You hear all the time on here how we were a basket case when Sheens took over but Manly weren't too far behind when Hasler took over and he left them with a couple premierships

The evolution of Barba and Kasiano and the reinvention(?) of Krisnan Inu puts Hasler at the top of my list. Though at the end of 2010 it was definitely Bennett.
