Chris Lawrence to 5/8

Why Why Why ? I know this is just talk but we have the worlds best 5/8, we have young gun fullback coming through, we fought to keep Moltzen who has a great record at half back ?

Like i said Pacey it's just to create confusion and get people talking about other players. Maybe to take the pressure off Moltzen and Tedesco or even Blair. Anyone with half a brain knowns their is not a chance in hell of Lawrence wearing the no 6, to me it's quite laughable that Sheens and Lawrence have people believing this.

I highly doubt theyd be going out of their way to deliberatley mislead anyone…...they wouldnt bother wasting their time. There too much to do to be wasting time....too professional
Thered be some validity to it....as mentioned imo its been discussed as a possibility, a contingency plan if this, that or whatever occurs ie injuries, suspensions or plans dont come off as expected.

agreed… You only have to look at the Four Nations to realise Sheens likes the idea when he put Lawrence at 5/8 for 10 minutes. Would he seriously try and mislead all of Australia in such an important competition???

I think Lawrence is the best centre in the game and I would not move him. He may train in the halves sometimes so he may move their during a game if injury occured, not a bad idea to be prepared. But I can't see him moving their full time. If Moltzen doesn't work at 7 I expect either Miller or Chislom will be given a go. I would also expect young Sironen to be give a chance when back from injury. So I think we have 6 players in front of Lawrence in the halves.

I think in time Lawerence will be up their among the elite centres to have ever played the game (his try scroing strike rate is very impressive) and I think he will remain a centre for the vast majority of his career.

So move one of the best centres in the world out of position and shift the best 5/8 in the world out of position to halfback where he has proven to have failed before?

Sounds like something Sheens would do.

Yeah just look at some of the things he has done in the past
1) Morris at halfback
2) Fitzy at 5/8
3) Wingers on the bench who play for 5 mins
4) Lolesi at lock

Yes Sheens has certainly proved he is above doing things that make you scratch your head
