Triple M Grill Team are reporting Chris is also on his way there for 2014\. Not sure how I feel about this if true - sure, he's not the player he used to be but bloody hell, anywhere but that place!!

Another Wests Tigers player is believed to have signed with the Cronulla Sharks.

It's rumoured Sharks coach Shane Flanagan began talks with Chris Lawrence a few months ago. And the 24-year-old representative centre is expected soon to announce that he’ll be joining the Sharks for the 2014 season.

Lawrence has played his whole NRL career with the Tigers. If he does make the move, he will be joining former team-mates Andrew Fifita, Beau Ryan, Chris Heighington and Blake Ayshford in the Shire.

Wow Moltzen sure did time his trip to the UK badly. He could've been offered a Sharks contract if he stayed at home!

This one I'm not happy about.
Sure he's not the player he was, but I don't think there has been a season since his hip injury that he hasn't been carrying some sort of injury but playing through it to help the team.

A clean bill of health and lose a few kgs and he'd be back on track

Lets face it it. He hasn't been great since that dislocation and his speed has twiddled. Lawrence was good when was fast and hitting holes and fending well. All three attributes have gone missing this past 12 months. Even brfore thr injury he was edging towards dketcy. i Wish him luck with the rest of our old side.

So be it, if it's true. Simona is a better centre than he is a winger, so it's a great outlook for the future. Chrissy has been a great clubman but his reads in defence and/or his inability for quick lateral movement have let too many tries in this year and it's not likely to get better. Time to move on.

Sure he hasn't been the same since his injury but he has been a lot better this year than last, his confidence is slowly coming back from what was a horrific injury.
I don't see how he could of signed anywhere with two years left in his contract unless he was given permission to look around, and til this morning I hadn't heard any rumours that he had.
I hope this is a beat up cause I feel he has a lot to offer…. He is still only 24\. Mark my words if he leaves he will kill it at another club!

WT is being run like the lawn bowls team from the movie crackerjack

- contracts not worth the paper their written on
- players uncertain of their future
- WT wanting to sack coaches they JUST signed or re-signed
- Ridiculous situation of recognised WT players going to cronulla sharks
- muddled brand identity
- unable to maintain consistent home ground combinations
- inconsistent merchandising that add to the brand confusion (changing the orange again)
- balmain debt and its flow on affect to WT
- poor on field performance in 2013
- retaining old players (lote & braith)
- a feel that nobody wants to remain at WT

I want WT to be a powerful club on and off field with strong on field talent (use and hold our juniors, manage contracts properly and promote the WT brand consistently…

I love chris Lawrence.if he does go,i will be very miffed.

although he is not the first local junior to leave,he is or was very marketable .Speaks well, good on field image and started at at a young age in first grade.

Sends a wrong message to those 14 and 15 year olds running around on Saturday morning.

I don't care if he runs the water on,keep him.

This local junior stuff is a nonsense.

He is playing like dross with occasional signs of maybe being a competent NRL player again.

He isn't playing to a standard anywhere near what his contract value represents.

Having a bunch of those players is what has bought us to this point.

There are only really two truly established juniors I would be miffed if we lost and they are Fulton & Farah.

The rest we have their equal or better in the young guys currently playing up in the NRL or coming through the ranks

Sounds like sharks trying to take some heat of the Asada investigation.

If true potter is making some tough calls, everyone he has let go, has not been earning the money that they are on, so maybe not all bad.

I think many wests tigers fans will be devastated if Lawrence leaves so I hope it's not true. Who do we even have to replace him in the centers. And don't say Simons because he's Ayshfords replacement in the centers

@Wests_Tigers @chrislawrence04 @gcmayer So now Chris has supposedly signed with the Sharks ? #Cantkeepthegoodones

his reply

@Ace_ZI10 oh dear. Signed to 2016.

If this does eventuate I think it actually may be the best outcome for both parties.
The club offloads another underperforming player on a long contract and Chris gets the opportunity to move to a new club who under different training and medical staff may have a chance to get back to full 100% condition.

If he goes, I think we'll see Richards and Koro on the wings with Nofo and Simona inside them.
