guys! just spoke to a very good mate of mine, who works at parra's training staff,he overheard kearney and
some talking about releaseing tahu, reddy and going hard for lawerance… he's not happy with the way negotiation are going and is ready to leave. is he still signed to play with us next year???? and why arnt we throwing buckets of money at him to make him stay with us instead of sighing dropkicks!!!!!!!! :

ur mate is wrong!!!

That whole post is wrong! Which drop kicks have we signed? Rowdy is on holidays at the moment and his manager is likely to re-start negotiations with the club at some point at the start of the new year. The fact that Chris is an international now brings a whole new complexion on his contract negotiations and so they should. Chris' manager did the smart thing and held the club at bay and I'm sure we'll hear of Chris' re-signing with the club before the start of the new season. In response to dinoox's question, Chris is contracted to the club until the end of 2011\. Parramatta want a classy center NOW, not in 2012\. Geez I wish some people would not buy into media hysteria.

IT might be wrong but unfortunately they do have a bucket load of money and are desperately short of centres - if we don't sign him soon we may not be able to match parra in the future.

im more pointing out the part of he is unhappy with the way Negotiations are going.. that is all BS. i dont know about the signing of him to the Tigers, but he will be a one club player…. from what i know, he is ecstatic to be a Tiger... and holds Sheens in high regard.. and his re-pall with the players is huge

Lawrence is the one player in the squad I could never see leaving wests. He is a campbelltown boy through and through and has even set up his own business in the district. He fits into our style of play and the majority of our move result in him either scoring or setting up a try. He plays under the Australian coach, is now an Australian player and was 18th man for nsw last year. The sky is the limit for chris and he has done it all from this club.

heard the exact same thing as you Troy from a board member just recently

chris will stay

Whilst this is all still rumour and innuendo it's good to know that the 'inside info' has him staying here.
It would be an absolute tragedy if we lost this kid.
Benji, Robbie, Lawrie, Heigho, Gibbs & Fulton - Tigers for life! (& yes Liam does count becuse he only went to England to save the Tiges from salary cup issues)
edit - say what you like about sheens (& I have bagged him a lot) he certainly seems to have created a strong bond of loyalty amongst these guys.

The fact is now that the Tigers are the team of the moment. We have huge stars at our club and can no longer be looked at as also rans. With the golden boot a life player why would Chris Lawrence want to play with another Sydney club who will not give him success before the Tigers will.

Chris and Tim Mannah are big mates from Jnr rep days

And?

There are big chances that Mannah might sign with the Tigers  :lol.

Chris doesn't have to go anywhere if he wants to play with Mannah. Anyways, they will be playing for the Blues next year together nyways

From a very good source - Lawrence loves it at the Tigers and has not thought about even raising talks with any other club, at the moment his priorities are the Wests Tigers and also the business he runs with mates, he hopes to be signed to the Tigers for a long time!

Thats what we want to hear… Cheers, Craig.

The way Chris came back early from a fractured jaw shows his commitment to his teammates, coach and the club, not to mention his courage.

THIS IS SOOO FUNNY..

i HEARD A RUMOUR THE OTHER DAY….it goes like this.......

CHRIS LAWRENCE ISN'T GOING ANYWHERE......

WESTS Tiger 4 life...
:sign:

Discuss...

For the rumour about the Eels, they have not approached him yet. I posed the question the other day and they said they have more pressing issues (i.e Tahu, halves debacle,) than signing on Lawrence.
