Chris lawrence

over a **three-year period** which would see him **finish his career** as a one-club man.

On Tuesday, the **26-year-old** guaranteed he will be at Concord next year despite speculation the NRL club is looking to offload him.

lol he's gonna"finish his career" at 29.

i think it's a smart BUT risky decision. lawrence seems like a very loyal person but honestly, i believe his loyalty lies with benji, farah etc which is fair enough. i hope he is the bridge that connects everyone together. he is definitely the best person to connect the old, the new and the coaching staff together imo.

I agree with all of this but I don't think Rowdy puts Robbie, Benji etc above his responsibilities to the club. The way he spoke earlier in the week he just came across as the ultimate professional. The press kept pushing him for an opinion but his replies were all about "we're professional footballers", "our job is to get ourselves in the best condition for the game", etc, etc.

Really hope he has the chance to captain this young side as he is the right bloke to lead this club.

Chris is all class and has won me over again since his move to the back row.

His intelligence and professionalism is exactly what we need at this club, but a 3 year deal is always risky… he's become more injury-prone as he's matured.
