He's a class player. For some reason we overrate our own players and dismiss clearly better options.
He is better than anyone in our back row and can play centre well if needed. He is the strongest player at the Titans pound for pound in their testing.

Throw in the fact the Titans are a gutsy side who continuously punch above their weight. Given how soft our underbelly is to most of our supporters, surely it couldn't hurt bringing to the club one of the key components of the guts the Titans possess.

Agreed. The only issue I can see is Lawrence wouldn't be in the team as I think you would need more size if running with ET and McQueen. I think Kane Evans at prop and Sue back at lock would change things, Lawrence off the bench.

The fact Lawrence is a starter for us really shows how bad our options are.We would have the worst 2nd row in the game.

I think our backrow is better than Souff's the Warriors and Manly's

I reckon many of the ESL sides have better back rows than ours

Now that is embarrassing

I thought he signed an extension last year that moved his back ended salary out over 2 years. Went from 600k this year to 900k for three years

He was backended. He fixed it up with the club but cause we had no way of offloading him. Look at the facts .
That's why we still have the cripple

Sorry but get your facts right.
He was backended. We only have him still playing for us because he was gracious enough to cut a deal.
His career was over otherwise. Who else wants a cripple?

Man that's low.

What would you rather the club do, pay him 600k for one season or 300k for two?

Maybe cruel but it's reality.
Nobody else wanted him, we had no choice but to have a crippled centre playing 2nd row.
It's all a result of him being backended heavily to the point we had no choice but to play him.

He was. Deal was struck to ease our burden. He accepted to prolong whatever career he thinks he can have.
The only reason he is still here is because he WAS backended. That's a fact.
If he wasn't backended before we would have unloaded him no doubt after that horrific injury.

Why else would you play a broken centre at 2nd row? The mind boggles.

A backended deal means we're paying more a year to lessen the burden in the short term. We're actually paying him less. Some backended contract lol

You don't get it. He is only playing here now because we cut a deal to get out of the backended deal. He wanted a longer career that was surely over.

You think Lawrence can go get another NRL spot? Lol.
I can't wait til he is gone.

Wow, hate to see how you feel about players who haven't put their whole career into the club. In the meantime, the 'cripple' is still the best back rower at this club after one season in the position.

Thats the problem..Lawrence probably is our best backrower and at most clubs he would struggle to make the bench. Don't get me wrong ,he is a top guy and puts more effort in than anyone else, but he is not a great back rower

I have to agree i doubt if any other club would sign Lawrence to play back row he isnt that good.Josh is young and could develop but unfortunately that is not the case with Chris, i admire the fact that he came back from injury but he is a shadow of what he was.
