Ciraldo Signs with Dogs

That's exactly what I was going to type, ciraldo going through the COE, checking our roster, our junior pathways then signs for the same contract dollars and years at Bulldogs
On 100% footy Gould didnt hide from the fact the Dogs don't have a large junior nursery and as such are "buying" youngsters from other clubs...It wouldn't surprise me if Gould and Ciraldo hatched a plan to go through the WT books and cherry pick our best juniors...the next 2 or 3 years shall be interesting

Knowing Gus, this wouldn’t surprise me at all either. CC was never coming to the tigers but wanted to know who our best juniors were, what we paid them, and how long they were contracted for. All so he could take that information to the Bulldogs where he was always going to sign.

I honestly cannot believe we publicly released that information. I can't think of any positive that would bring. There are times when you shouldn't have transparency and this was one of those times.
In these sort of situations, which as a GM in a previous life I was involved in, the correct procedure is to get sign off on a legal document that what you are being shown /told is propriety corporate information and is not to be used other than for the reasons it would be shared ie recruitment of coach and sharing plans to get him come to the club.
That at least provides some sort of legal protection for the club.
Although we don’t have a great legal record do we.

Panthers nicked Gus off , so now he wants to destroy the Panthers and make the Dogs his new Panthers, how many will Ciraldo take with him
Maybe we got this all wrong and should have punted Pascoe with Hartigan and just recruited Gus.
I’m sure if he was at WT we would all love his modus operendi.
He understands how the NRL world works.

Gus would have been a far smarter buy than Sheens which is why the numbskulls who run our club never thought of it.

Gus done us over with a bid for Ciraldo by $2 million.
Ciraldo signed a $3 million 5 years contract.
Thats $5 Million reasons to be cheering.
Thank you Tim

I think all clubs reps in Sydney know where the quality juniors are - you can't hide them. And you can guarantee they will have a crack at getting them - much like Roosters did to South's with Suaali.
The thing that is most concerning is that clubs like the Roosters Sourths can demonstrate a clear pathway to success while we are still back in 2011. Gus has fast tracked the Dogs somewhat by raiding the Penrith assets. I just hope Sheens and Marshall know what they are doing or we will remain the spare parts club of the competition.
Really, we need to move on at least 10 players from our top roster to ensure these kids have a future.
Sign the best up to nrl contracts on the day they turn 17 (believe this is allowed, and they can’t debut until 18).
That’s how 03,04,05 started. And that’s how we managed to keep a hold of Tedesco, Moses and Brooks in the early stages.
It’s our only hope.
DaSilva
Galvin
Miller
Lauitii x2
I’m looking at you

Like seriously who cares re CC & Gus.

People make out this is something new. Plenty of assistant/established coaches move from team to team. It's one thing to know information it's another to actually be in a position to use it and even more so another to use it in years to come.

The top line teams would know about our best juniors already. We are already competing.

The ball is 100% in our court on this, we have buckets load of cap space not just next year but if you look at the key players we will have a heap of cap space in future years as well. We are one of the few teams that can pay well for the best junior talent and keep them for a while.

Re Gus/CC creating programs to develop other clubs juniors - given how bad the Bulldogs development/conversation rate has been they have to invest a huge amount and drive significant changes in this space all of which will take years to develop.

CC will be 100% focused on the NRL gig not pathways development etc, he just won't have the time to do it. The Bulldogs are struggling even with the roster they have & will have immense pressure next year on immediate results. His world is going to be spinning alot.

Sure CC gets a better on paper team in year 1 than he does here, but it will be very interesting in 3-5yr periods what both teams look like then as we know ours will be vastly different.

Remember the Knights rebuild and how long it’s taking , where they are right now, moving forward , non stop dramas. The problem, A Obrien.
Madge got beaten by this guy on a lot in recruitment, and look at the Knights again, there stuffed. Lucky Madge never got his way.
Now we switch our focas to the Bulldogs, many love their recruitment drive and praising Gus and the virgin as the saviours.
Now look back at Newcastle , we have the same rubbish as the Bulldogs.

So the question is are you happy with the approach the dogs and Knights are taking, and do you think this is the blue print the WT should follow and why ?

The WT are trying to change a culture guys, embedded losing mentality.

SERIOUS TALKS/POST PLEASE
