Keep :bawling Hobbs….

Geoff Toovey on NRL Premiership Captains...Doesn't matter how good a Coach you are if you haven't got the players you're not going to win...

I would leave that out of your application if I was you Toovs...

Craig Bellamy disagrees !
Don't forget to opt for the Jason Taylor membership package next season … It comes with a free blindfold !

Are we signing Craig Bellemy…?

I wish …rankin would be playing SOO next year !

Apparently NSW are looking for a new hooker? :roll

I am not that surprised.

If he had just coached the team without running his mouth it might be more in his favour.

Its too small of a poll to take any notice of.
Just having a laugh eddie.
It will take a bit for taylor to win some fans over.

Over 100 votes , 47 to taylor (44%) , 59 for someone else (56%). So slightly more people dont think he should be here next year. Very interesting…..

Just having a laugh with eddie.
A similar poll was done here a few months ago with the result being 80% wanting Farah gone.
It was rubbished by a few with their reasoning being that it wasnt a big enough response to fairly represent tigers fans.
It seems they are happy with this poll tho.

I don't think the poll has much relevance.

However I think in general Taylor is not popular with Tigers fans overall.

I get this impression by going to games.

Robbie Farah was signed by Steve Humphreys and Nick Di Girolamo on $950,000 for the last two seasons (which is absurd) and they were sacked. They also signed Chris Lawrence at $650,000 and he wasn't performing. It's not in JT's interests as coach to inherit these kind of long term problems, but he has dealt with them while moving the team forward.

The club has been very accommodating regarding Farah over the years, to the point where two previous coaches were moved on. That simply can't happen again. JT made a judgement about Farah's benefit/worth/influence on the team. He did what he thinks is right and as coach will live or die by his decisions. Let's not forget in the last 3 seasons of Farah's captaincy we finished 15th twice and 13th. This season we won more games when Farah didn't play and we played for a finals spot for the first time in 5 years.

JT also re-negotiated Lawrence's future and has him contributing more to the team. I think he deserves credit for dealing with these problems, which he didn't create. He definitely deserves to see out his contract and with these problems resolved, I'll be surprised if we don't make the 8 in 2017\. I hear Kidwell is gone and also the club will re-sign Elijah Taylor. In 2018 we will have more $$$ to add to the roster.

How this year was different to previous years is that when Farah was in SOO they usually collapsed whereas the year they kept their head above water. We may have been lucky whom (NT) we played as they were more depleted than we were.

We saved maybe $200K by dumping Farah but if we had made that one final game (by winning against Titans) we must have gone to recuperating that amount by being in the finals, would help with sponsorships as well. So by dumping Farah we may have gone backwards financially, only it may have alleviated pressure on our cap. We must be so rich we can afford that luxury.

I really believe if we have a solid pre season without conjecture, work hard on areas we need improvement in. Then we should go into the '17 season with a positive attitude. I do believe Taylor has belief within the club that we can go forward.
So I'm really looking forward to next season and hopefully continued growth within the squad. It will have a few tweaks on this season but as long as we have Tedesco Moses and Woods play a majority of games I think a positive season is to be had.
I haven't been the biggest fan of Taylor but have a feeling he should stick around.

Good to read Maxxy, as one doesn't have to like him to think he deserves one shot with a squad that he has had a bit of a say on.
