My very first thought initially was why they didn't mention Anzac?I've just got this idea in the back of my mind that Wests Tigers realized the jersey was a stuff up but it had gone way too far and it was too late to pull it.
Could this be why they have opted this year to call it a commemorative jersey rather than ANZAC jersey to take as much focus as possible away from the graphics that were used.
Just a bit of a long shot because I'm sure it has always been called an ANZAC jersey in past years.
What ever the reason for the stuff up, I won't be buying it and ironically ANZAC round just happens to be against Manly of all teams.
You can't make this stuff up but in any case I will be going to the game which I will no doubt regret after we suffer a humiliating defeat just like last year at Cambo when I believe we were out numbered by Manly supporters at one of our so called home grounds.
I will most likely be wearing an ANZAC Jersey which I believe is the best one that has ever been produced, which as a bonus does not feature the hideous Brydens logo but manages to commemorate 100 years and features slouch hats, rifles with bayonets attached and a rising sun back ground.

Exactly what Paul Kent said on 360, confirmed by the club, they are calling it a commemorative jersey instead of an ANZAC jersey.I've just got this idea in the back of my mind that Wests Tigers realized the jersey was a stuff up but it had gone way too far and it was too late to pull it.

I have never bought either. I don't buy into crass commercialism. I have one WT jersey only.I just came here to say I don't care and I never buy the ANZAC jerseys anyway. I prefer the indigenous ones.
Wow....almost seems like the right thing to do. Has been a while and it's a shame it is to fix an oversightWests Tigers to redesign Commemorative Jersey

Wests Tigers remain as committed as ever to making this year’s ANZAC Round match in Round 8 against Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles a respectful and special occasion.
The Commemorative Jersey to be worn by our players for this match has been criticised because an image on the jersey does not accurately depict Australian or New Zealand troops.
As a club Wests Tigers is deeply sorry if the use of this image has in any way offended anyone. This was never our intention, and we are taking steps to rectify this.
We have taken on board feedback from our members and fans, and we will be redesigning our 2023 Commemorative Jersey, immediately.
Wests Tigers deeply regret any offence the use of this stock image may have caused and remains completely committed to honouring and respecting all those servicemen and women who have, and who continue, to serve.
The redesigned 2023 Commemorative Jersey will be worn by our team in Round 8.
These jerseys will then be auctioned after the match, with all proceeds going to our ANZAC Round matchday charity partner, Legacy.
Wests Tigers would like our members and supporters to know that, as a club, we will continue to embrace the ANZAC spirit, this year and in years to come.
I agree with this. This is my favourite Tiger's jersey and the one I wear all the time. Sums up what it's about...I've just got this idea in the back of my mind that Wests Tigers realized the jersey was a stuff up but it had gone way too far and it was too late to pull it.

Between this blunder and the team's poor play, you'd think that the club won't sell a whole lot of them.
Maybe it will become a collectors' item? The infamous stock photo ANZAC jersey of 2023.

Do you get it now?I'm still unclear what the issue is? Do you have to put Simpson and his Donkey or the Rats of Tobruk on the jersey every year?
What does it matter if they used a stock photo?
Some of you are inventing things to get upset about now, faux outrage, all very Fox News.
