Madge hasn't been going that well but jeez the players need to be held to account. Look them up on Google and it will say professional athletes. Nothing professional about the last two weeks.

What is with this generation of players that need to be cuddled every day. The report saying that Broncos players don't like kevvy because he won't communicate how they can improve. Bloody hell watch a replay and Youl see how you can improve and where you went wrong

Fair dinkum send them out shearing for a few weeks. Tough em up a bit.

Yes Madge did....and all of a sudden everyone was on eggshells he is to hard a taskmaster...even after Madge went soft on them....

Sorry to say it, but Madges selections are on par with the game plan(or lack of), discipline (there is none) structure,(whats that?) agression, (whats that ?) It's a simple fact , we are a poorly coached team of sub standard players.

And players that he brought to the club. All way to slow for the modern game. Tamou wouldnt make any other teams first grade side and Madge has made him captain. Now he want Tpj - wow. We need hard arse defenders not big slow edge backrowers who turn up for 5 games a year. Our recruitment has been poor big time.

The players look disinterested, the coaching style isn’t working. We are a better team than we showed last night.

I’m shouted down on here by a few for being too negative towards the coach, but we are now in year 3 and we’re getting progressively worse. I’m not sure how we get out of this predicament but changing nothing is not the answer.

The only thing that keeps off the sack Madge bandwagon is no decent coach is going to come here.

That’s also a problem. But what’s happening now is not sustainable. He’s been given more than enough time to at least improve things.

At this point in time I would be surrounding him with the best possible support.

Sheens is not the answer

Why ?

Mate, I am the biggest Tim Sheens fan, but he hasn't coached in the NRL in 10 years.

I did just check his results in the Super League and they are better than I expected, maybe I could be convinced on Sheens.

I have been a Madge fan but there’s no denying Sheens is class. Even in many lean years he gave us stature.

****Huge disclaimer** first:** In no way am I making excuses for last night, that was possibly the worst I have seen not only ourselves play but any team for as long as I can remember. Embarrassed to be a tigers fan is an understatement.


however, is it time the NRL has to seriously consider the make up of this competition along with he product that is currently on display?

Nobody wants to watch games like this...over in 10mins. We are seeing score score lines grow bigger and bigger each week, the divide between top 4-6 and everyone else is alarming and quite frankly a terrible look on the game. Im a die hard footy fan but the only games even close to being enjoyable over the last few years are bottom teams playing each other and this is only because the score lines are SOMETIMES closer (however quality of each team is usually terrible). We are only half way through the comp and we can probably all guess who the grand finalists will be.

Does the NRL have to accept the rule changes, crackdowns, bias refereeing is simply making this game unwatchable. Does the salary cap need a revision? the unbalance in quality is simply insane. Do they possibly need to be giving leg ups to teams who finish out of the 8 the year prior to hopefully rotate success throughout the competition?

Or is it a case of the bottom teams just need to 'adapt better'? We hear that a lot but it's always the powerful big clubs that seem to be able to 'adapt' to anything, so why is it the others can't?

Surely the NRL has to make changes and somehow prop up the struggling clubs...I understand how bias that is but the game is simply terrible at the moment.

Why should the top teams get blamed for getting better and better ......

Why don't we improve or die ......

Think of us as a business (which we are ) why do we deserve help when we continually make the same mistakes year after year after year .....NRL should give us time frame ...and if we can't make the 8 ...kick us out or relocate us

Agree. Was watching "Fire in Babylon" a couple of nights ago again. A couple of players were talking about a game early in WCC where the WI were bowled out for 46. An angry Kerry Packer walks in to the WI dressing room and tells them Qantas 023 leaves Aussie everyday and if they don't improve they will be on it. They end up working hard, become fit, and don't loose another game in WCC in the next 3 years.

We have to look to improve...

Its crap KT .....teams don't get 66 put on them ...I was cheering the Storm on to 92 for the ultimate embarrassment .....rock bottom can't come fast enough as far as I am concerned

Even in the Sheens era whenever we were in a slump it was a trip to Kiama and we were back on track . However now days all we see is fluff stories on Facebook and this does not cut it. The latest with all the team enjoying the Sunshine Coast recovery was un believable insensitivity given the weekend results

I remember hearing either Sterlo or Joey saying that with good teams, there is vey little difference between their best and their worst - we aren't a good team.

There is very little difference between our best and our worst either, it’s just on the wrong end of the scale!

Morris with Sheens in his new job would work, Ciraldo also, I think Flanagan is far more in tune with the modern game, and a far better chance at attracting decent talent a s well, something Madge can't do

Signing Flanagan is something a successful club would do. We're more of a community responsible club. We have morals in our cabinet.

You can be successful without selling your soul to the devil.

Well we signed a bloke who stomped on the head of a guy laying in the gutter.

The sad thing for me is that we've been this way for most of the season and the whole lack of accountability and leadership once again took centre stage.
But this time everything came undone and unravelled. All our worst nightmares came true tonight because the things that needed to be addressed 14 or 5 rounds ago, continue not to be.
No offence but I think it's as simple as being that we were found out for how unprofessional we really are as a team. The poor standards, structures and effort were exposed big time, by a team who are the best at doing so.
Who honestly doesn't know where our (WTs) weaknesses lie?
Any good attacking team will be lapping it up against us.

I'll tell you one thing though, I still don't know who our best team is and what our strengths are. Most teams are going from strength to strength but we show little progression as a team.

In terms of our biggest problem and what requires the most urgent attention, our defensive coach.

I honestly don't feel like the lack of onfield success is relative to the talent in the team, just more that we're not playing to the best of our ability.
There's currently three teams with more inexperience than us (Cowboys, Broncos, Bulldogs) yet you can pinpoint what their best and worst traits are. What they require and how they draw from their strengths (or why they are unable to). With us it's funny though, as the team feels like they're unable to stick to a task despite having experience in certain key areas (positions) but are far too inconsistent or unreliable, to work on it.
We're not too dissimilar to Sharks talent wise but are unable to dig deep at their level. Whether it's because we're not gelling enough or not, I don't know. So that's disappointing, as they're a team who knows how to take advantage of all opportunities and we still look limited, lost and stuck at times.
