or 5 home grounds.

That's a new one, you mean the >2 home grounds we've had since 2004?

Tell me, is Pascoe also responsible for Balmain's 1989 Grand Final loss or Wests runners up 1961-63?

Seriously, what reason is there to not have trade windows?

NRL is definitely considering it, it's been on their club conference agenda for a year or two now.

The major obstacle I guess is currently that's not how deals are done and we have to remember that the NRL lives off media coverage, so on some levels, player movement and speculation drives code coverage.

But they introduced the Jun 30 roster close and Nov 1 negotiation period to help curb the player noise, so you could expect there's support for a transfer window.

@Newtown
As a nuffie coach once said if YOUR NOT ON THE BUS
this could apply here let him go free up cash a get good outside backs or other promising forwards those two guys at Manly Keppie and Waddle had strong games against the Skarkies and probably would be unheard of only due to injuries.

Bigger issue is that when players reach their potential they all choose to leave Wests Tigers.
We need to sort this out too many players for it to be a coincidence.

Over-exaggeration. Some players leave. Also, if Tigers are a club trying to make smart purchases to up-skill, the downside of that is they become expensive footballers on the other side.

E.g. Marty Taupau, didn't hear any news that he specifically wanted to leave Wests, only that he got a massive offer from Manly that we couldn't match. Same with Blake Austin getting a good deal at Raiders.

The other rationale is very obvious - some clubs win a lot and it's an easy decision to go to or stay with those clubs. Why do those clubs win a lot? Mostly to do with funding and power-brokers - they can afford to be stable and they can take care of their players in "different" ways. I can understand players want to play for successful teams, but if all players do that it just adds inequality to the league.

Even the new cap on football departments comes not with fines, but with tax on over-spending. So you can over-spend to your heart's content if you are willing to pay the extra tax.

I personally think one of the biggest reasons for losing footballers is instability, so you need to pick and stick with your coach. This Matto issue is a big challenge on Maguire's early tenure, but the club must go 100% with coach, otherwise it's just more turnover, more player power and more turmoil. Let us not forget that the last big player-power shifts at Tigers were involved in ending the first-grade careers of Sheens, JT and Potter.

Tedesco, Moses, Woods, Fifita, Teo, JAC, Koriebete, Taupau, Papynuyzen. Bad management or otherwise we have too much quality leaving and not enough coming. Even Cleary jumped hip.

I agree with you on stability we need to keep Madge and it may mean losing player like Matterson. The Storm are the best example of what we should be like. Create a system and recruit accordingly. We were not that far away a few recruits hooker, centre, wing/fullback and a couple of props and we will be a top 8 team. Losing key players when we struggle to attract talent is a big concern.

@Tiger_Steve no laughing mate I have studied body language and I might say very good at it , once he touched his face that was it .. a major problem . Just like how people talk it is just an open book ..can not get away with what our body expresses you just have to know how to read it .

Please please save us all from this nonsense. I mean, it's the internet I get it, but body language reading on football news, seriously.

Can we get Athena Starwoman in to read "the vibes".

Just because you don’t agree mate doesn’t make it nonsense. It’s a scientifically researched, evidence based practice widely used. Not nonsense at all. And before you demand from me the proof of research and evidence - look it up!

Broncos: Kahu, Maguire, Nikorima, Opacic, Pearson, Jimmy Jet, Korbin Sims, Su'A, Arrow, Ese'ese, Hunt, Benji, Mead, Blair, Wallace.

Sharks: Flanagan, Brailey, Holmes, Edrick Lee, Leutele, Ramien, Segeyaro, Jack Bird, Latimore, Maloney, T-Rex, Barba

Panthers: Blake, RCQ, CHN, Maloney, Merrin, Peachey, DWZ, Cartwright, Hiku, Latu, TMM, Moylan, Oldfield, Hardaker, Segeyaro, ET,

That's just the past 3 seasons. I get what you are saying but in respect of quality leaving, most clubs have it in buckets. Certainly, other clubs have differing levels of players in and out from year to year, but also, Tigers have historically been a pretty decent club for promoting and identifying juniors. There is potentially a good crop of kids at the club right now.

But fundamentally, we are a Tedesco away from being a finals side with the current roster, and unfortunately Tedescos are once-in-generation.

Hahaha yeah, show me your certification in body-language reading, from the University of New-Age Healing. I am sure it's admissible in court too.

Had it confirmed just before lunch, that it's pretty much that he was signed by Ivan, and doesn't want to play under Maguire, nothing to do with money....I say let him go, he didnt want to play under Brad Arthur, now Maguire, sounds like a serial sook to me, I'd say let him go!, tigers need to get the best possible deal from this scenario and put the money into players that actually want to be here, I've heard Marsters isnt happy too, he can go as well, one thing she was certain about was Matterson won't be at the tigers next year

Current players mum, friend of mine,

No offence, but how would a mum know anything about the inner dealings of the club?

Unless matto had publicly been complaining to everyone it's practically impossible. If he has been that's incredibly unprofessional and toxic.

He himself said he was very happy only a couple of months ago and he convinced his best mate Aloiai to stay at the club so they could keep playing together.

Well one of 2 things he said he'd do when he turned up was that he'd get us playing out of 1 ground. How'd he going with that?

She does hear a fair bit from him....unfortunately players leak more than Sydney water

How incredibly sad and frustrating if this is all true. Seem to be building with a bit of wind at our back and then another step backwards....

Well he's not finished yet. Judge him when he's gone on that one.

If you reckon a CEO, any CEO, can get Wests Tigers to a single home ground inside of, what, 4 seasons, if that's the pass mark... well... well I hope you sign him up for life if we actually do move full-time to 1 stadium.

He has got it down, has he not, diluted the CSS and LO games to just 3 each? Maybe Tamworth and Auckland / Magic Millions rounds are smart moves to gradually reduce our reliance on CSS and LO, in anticipation of a full-time move somewhere else?

With 2 new stadia coming in the next few seasons, surely this is as likely a time as any for Tigers to consolidate grounds?

@balmain-boy crazy statement mate. If its a tight knit family she would definately know what's going on.
