Wests Tigers players Matt Groat and Jacob Miller have today been chosen in the train-on squad for the 2011 ARL Junior Kangaroos.

The ARL Junior Kangaroos will play the New Zealand Junior Kiwis in Newcastle as a preliminary game to the Australia V New Zealand Test Match on Sunday, October 16, at Ausgrid Stadium, Newcastle.

Further players will be added to the squad at the completion of the Grand Finals, with the final squad to be selected on Tuesday, October 4.

Canterbury Coach Andrew Patmore has been appointed Coach of the 2011 Junior Kangaroos.

The selection of Groat and Miller in the train-on squad caps off a fine season for the pair with both making their NRL debut.

Groat played 10 NRL matches after making his debut against the Dragons at WIN Jubilee Oval in round 12, establishing himself as a young prop with plenty of raw potential.

Miller played 4 NRL matches after making his debut against former club Sydney Roosters at the SFS in round 4\. The talented playmaker was one of the major driving forces in Wests Tigers making the U20s finals. Miller will be pushing hard for the first grade half-back position next season.

Wests Tigers wish Matt and Jacob all the very best for the final squad selection.
