Connor Watson

Thought Watson was outstanding today and showed he is a starter. I say we pull out all stops (within reason) to get him. He'd be an awesome signing.

Yeah how can we fit him in our team when all he wants to do is play as a starter. Reynolds, Brooks, Lolohea and MM/Liddle covers our starting spine which are Watson's preferred positions. Which means Watson would have to knock someone out of our starting team which would be unlikely.

Well if he came over this week he could name his position….we've got a few reserve graders masquerading as NRL players.....lol................

Next years roster...I'm not so sure....maybe the 9...I'm still not convinced McIlwrick is the answer and Liddle may need more time in reggies

He is a talented kid and if he does the hard work will have a good career…

However, I felt he over-played his hand today on a few occasions and went against the structure set by Robo. He will need to get that out of his system if he wants coaches to continue believing in him.

He does look good in a few positions!

I think this kid has the goods and is too good for ISP but where could he fit in our team??

Obviously 6 & 7 aren't an option (providing Brooks steps up) but what about him at 9?? I know we have Mcilwrick and Liddle but I am concerned that Liddle is still a couple of years off and Mcilwrick isn't a game breaker so could Watson fill that spot?

I admit I didn't see enough of his defence today, mostly because we didn't throw much at the roosters, so maybe someone who has seen more of him can let us know how he goes in defence.

The jury is still out on Brooks so if he doesn't step up Watson takes that role and Liddle has then had a chance to develop more game time in ISP.

What do you guys think of that as an option??

Instead of starting a Brooks thread ,I feel things just are not right about him and the team just a hunch.so maybe the Watson talk could be on the money, but reality is who knows but I do not have a good feel about Brooks though.

Watson could realistically slot in at 6, 7 or 9\. If we sign him then it creates competition for those spots and possibly puts someone out of the side. Right now he is head and shoulders better than Brooks, Liddle and McIlwrick so you'd think it'd be one of those three. Liddle gets another year developing in ISP. Reynolds or Watson play either 6 or 9.
6\. Reynolds/Watson
7\. Brooks
9\. Reynolds/Watson

You can't "pull out all stop" within reason.

I thought Buzz failed Journalism school.. he can't even spell Johnny

Both Buzz and the Weed tweeting that he's signed with the Knights. Good, we don't need him. The Knights are building nicely.

According to Rothfield Tigers have also signed Eastwood. He wouldn't know.
Connor Watson would be a fantastic acquisition to our roster.
If we were lucky enough to sign him, most on this forum would be wetting their pants.

Kind of weird, I thought just a week or two ago the Roosters were adamant to retain him.
