Cooper Cronk Released From Storm

One of the problems for Cronk is that a lot of Sydney clubs have already spent over the cap as they thought it was going to be 9.5 million now it's only 8.4 some clubs would not be in a position to offer him big bucks or they will have to have a fire sale.

Broses kindling anyone?

Just because Cronk is moving to sydney to be with his fiancé does not mean he will sign with a sydney club. More then likely he will retire and go into the media

So why not announce his retirement then? He announced he was leaving, not retiring.

Just my opinion GNR4LIFE . I just cant see him playing for anyone but the Storm but i could be wrong.

With Cronk moving to Sydney next year. Do you think we should try to get him or should we focus on other positions.
I was thinking yes we should but then his price tag is going to be quite large might be better off not worrying.

These long distance relationships never work
(Cronk / Rushton )

Look at happy and Geo , their always bickering !

I know hey…it's all his excessive whining ...

Going off what Tedesco was saying that its not about the money. I reckon the "big 4" , or parts thereof, would take less if cronk was in the side.
Stick Brook as reserve or reserve grade on reduced money , if he wants to stay.
The rest get offered less so Cronk can be fit in.

The signing of Cleary was astute and professional.
As soon as Taylor was given the flick, fans and commentators were almost unanimous that Cleary would be perfect to take the helm.
I think we are all very proud of his appointment and also how management handled that.
Kudos.

There are few players who Tigers fans would be unanimous in their positive opinion over, Cronk is one.
DCE, Inglis and even Folau in their peaks didn't please everyone on here.

Are management going to go next level?

I would expect that especially now with Cleary and Tigers recruitment/management team they would surely have already contacted Cronk's management and arranged a meeting. Surely, that can't be a stretch.

The guy is an incredible organizer, a great kicker, a proper halfback, a winner.
As someone else said, Cronk would easily be the club's most high-profile signing ever. That would be a coup which would have us fans salivating.

There are still other pieces of this puzzle to complete, but Cleary and Cronk (and Teddy) can attract those other pieces.

Tigers management you need to make this happen. Jersey sales, memberships, tickets, you name it, they would go up. Team morale, culture, winning, it will all happen, we just have to believe.

If we will it, it is no dream!
MAKE TIGERS GREAT AGAIN!

I think everyone is forgetting Thurston is also off-contract too..I'm sure once Ivan secures Coops they can work on getting little buddy to come as well…

Would be perfect for two years. His professionlism, off field attitude and experience would be worth a million.. How much would moses learn from him..

I didn't say WT have blown their cap money I said a "lot of Sydney clubs" meaning that most club would not be able to look at Cronk without shedding a lot of their squad.
This means that there is only a few clubs with spare coin to offer Cooper WT being one of them because we only have a few players signed next year.

If we don't have a dip at him we're not serious about going forward. The bloke is a proven match winner.

I know Smith is the heart of that Storm team, but their successes are not possible without Cronk. No coincidence that the year NSW won origin was the year he was out injured.

We certainly are bottom feeders.

Who wouldn't be interested in Cronk? Minimum 2 years in him, yet there are those saying we should keep Brooks AND Moses??!!??

Imagine what Cronk could do for Moses game?
Imagine Cronk and Tedesco?
Imagine Cronk steering Woods and co around the park?

Sign Cronk and some other decent off contract forwards would suddenly consider coming here.

We may not get him, but we'd be crazy not to make a play for him.

Would VERY happily swap Brooks and Woods for Cronk.
Cronk would also be the captain without a shadow of a doubt.
Spine of Teddy, Moses, Cronk, Liddle would be dynamite - and Cronk's on-field leadership could make an average forward pack competitive

I wasn't disagreeing with you, I was offering Broses to start your fire sale.
