The NRL needed to take the deregistration option 5 years ago and a lot of the problems of the past few years probably wouldnt have happened.As usual Turdberg is reacting instead of being proactive and to think the clown gets over 1m a year

Question Willow...once a player is deregistered,is there a timeframe when they can apply to play in the NRL again or is he only allowed to go to ESL or rugby??

Geo would know more than me on this one but I believe the NRL can specify a set period, or make it for life, so it's at their discretion.

Each case is different...as an example Tim Simona was de-registered and applied to come back to play CC and was knocked back..so went to play in France I think..

If he serves his suspension I'm ok with it at madges discretion.Worth bench spot at least. But you have to consider why penrith were happy to let him go. Cap trouble may not have been the reason

Without getting into it. We have Musgrove and Chee-Kam at the club already and everyone is fine with it, so I wouldn't be using it as a reason against him, once he services his time.

These young guys amaze me. They get to play sport for a living on big dollars and then do something so incredibly stupid that they must know will most likely get them heavily fined or, as here, fired. Pass on Corey and the other bloke as well if and when they are re-registered by the NRL.

Our club has taken in Russell Packer and Zane Musgrove so CHN wouldn’t be a big issue for them I feel as long as he shows he’s changed like the others have. He’s a very good player.

We did take on those players, but not a day after they were stood down. Packer was in jail and was rehaibiiated, and got himself a degree. Again, it doesn”t matter what our club would do cos the NRL deregistered him. He’d be the absolute last thing on the club’s mind atm.

Well you know the expression that young people think they are bullet proof. Add hundreds and thousands of dollars a year to their bank accounts and it adds another layer of invincibility.
