Corey Payne Returns

Was just going through the team lists for the NSW Cup round this weekend and I noticed that Corey Payne was named on the bench for Canterbury.
As someone who was disappointed with the 'Poor' way that the Tigers punted him at the end of 2009 I hope that Corey makes a sucessful return from injury but goes on to lose the Grand Final to BRET. :sign:

what do u mean the poor way?

Leroy,

U R a committed tigers fan, going through team lists of other teams on the 3rd tier comp. Onya mate.

Leroy, he was hardly setting the world on fire, and he really didn't fit in at the club anyway, he was always best moving on.

With all the signings Canterbury have next year, I think you'll find he'll be playing plenty more games in NSW Cup.

Corey played last week off the bench and did ok for his first game back after a long lay off.

I am gald he isn't with the Tigers so Sheens can't use him as a prop

Well he did belt Ben T'eo so…

all the best Bring on the PAYNE

Corey was doing a lot of charity work including a bike ride and the Wests Tigers promo guys milked it for all it was worth publicity wise. The club didn't inform him until AFTER the completion of 2009 that his services were no longer required and as far as I remember they didn't even issue a press release about him being rissoled.
Thus, the 'POOR' way that the club handled his departure, admittedly he wasn't a superstar but he did give us good service for 2 seasons, I also wrote at the time that I wasn't happy with the club in regards to the handling of the 'sacking' of Rhys Hanbury, Rocky Trimarchi & Danny Galea either. :brick:
