Corey Thompson is a gun

not bad for 90k a year, I checked out the Kennel when we signed him and most of them were laughing at us (not all of them but most)

Has been one of our best every game so far.

Thee best, with Packer! (And Coach)!! Ok just all the team and management. an me #1 fan!

He's surprised the hell out of me, I love watching him play. I get the feeling he could make something happen every time he touches the ball. Got to find a spot for him in the team, Noffa's only way back in is through injury or if MWZ form dips.

Makes up for what he lacks in size (and subsequently defense) by being brilliant in attack. Would move him to FB next week and bring Nofa up to wing at Tui’s expense.

Lol

Seriously, what does this guy need to do. Christ.

lol needed to stop Keith Lulia bagging 4 tries against him in 2014\. Yeah, I know, I need to let that go. Seems you’re quite a fan?

Reminds me a lot of Brett Hodgson, not the biggest or the strongest, but makes up for it with determination, putting his body on the line and knowing where he needs to be at all times. If he's half the player Hodgo was for us he will do just fine.

Agreed. If some players had half his heart and toughness they’d go a long way.

Might need his own fan club on this forum! Definitely proving to be a great pick up for us.

Tui was brilliant today… Who would be goalkicking anyways ??? Leave Thompson on the wing, he did fine there

Was Tui great?

He was a step of the pace all game if you ask me. Poor positioning and effort in the Eels first try. His ball playing consisted of long sideways runs often running out of room and support players.

You definitely can't leave him out due to his outstanding goal kicking, however the team would more than likely be better served with Corey at the back further down the track.

Tui was coming back after a couple of weeks off injured, in a position that he hasn’t held for the majority of his career and having not completed a full off season due to the World Cup.

I’m happy to give Tui time at the back with Corey on the wing as I think we need both players in the team and long term Tui’s best position is fullback.

lol I agree…he went well this afternoon and I advocate for him to move up in the pecking order to play FB. He epitomises everything good about our side at the moment.

I think it was on here I read he’s on $95k for this year. What a bargain we got but now I hope when the time comes we repay the faith.

Sorry mate, couldn't tell. I liked him in the halves last year. Very talented player who seems to be able to handle any number of roles and has dealt with adversity well. TBH he'd won me over before he came. Ivan knows much, much, much better than me so if Tui is in the team then I'll be happy.

I cant believe how good this kid is!

Consistently scores pies that he has no right to and keeps saving tries he equally has no right to.
