The Tv exe’s feel that looking at an empty grass hill has a better look than a stadium of empty seats ... go figure🤔 strange times we do live in !

Cheaper to have games there.

Are the NRL concerned that players might get both severe flu and covid and perhaps face more risk of death? Is that why the flu vaccination is a big deal now?

The flu makes people more susceptible to covid 19 by lowering the immune system. Also as the symptoms are similar so someone with flu symptoms will need to sit out and be tested.

Gould replying about when the draw will be out...

If it’s not available by this weekend I will be very surprised. Standby I say.

Apparently, according to reports, Bryce Cartwright ‘Can now play’ even though he won’t take the flu shot. I find that amazing as he certainly couldn’t play last time I watched him.

He’s a scared little boy both on and off the field it would seem

The draw will be out when the Roosters , Parra , Souths and Melbourne are happy with it

I would much prefer to see more Cartwright types in the NRL, footy players, rather than the many Neanderthal type monsters that have been propped up by being interchanged, resting and then thumping his type again, when with all things even, he would be running rings around them for half the game.

Weren't all the Warriors crew required to get flu jabs on condition to arrive in Aus?
Seems a bit of an uneven playing field if so

Torn a little on this one, as I am a proponent of choice, though if part of a team, also think you should act in the benefit of the collective. An example being not accepting a blood transfusion only directly affects the patient, whereas not having the flu shot can affect the team, officials and opponents.

We being older can mostly remember the remnants of Polio paralysis and other diseases, with seeing a sufferer living in an Iron Lung imprinted for life, so understand the need for vaccination, with the measles outbreak in the Pacific late last year a reminder of just how bad it can be and only too well for WT large Samoan contingent.

Laurie's Lane will be sold out!..... maybe

These blokes are dopes..the NRL backed down on no jab no play as long as players signed a waiver..now some are even refusing to sign the waiver cause of the wording or something...kick em out..

#BREAKING: Gold Coast Titans player Bryce Cartwright will be stood down by the NRL for not signing a flu-jab waiver.

It's understood more players will likely follow. More to come. #9News

Yep, they want cover if they get sick but are not prepared to take preventive measures. Bye bye idiots.

BREAKING: re Bryce Cartwright.. He's signed new waiver. HOWEVER, government has made it clear to NRL this morning, new waiver isn't good enough and they want everyone to have a flu shot and "No Jab, No Play" rule enforced. Massive drama to develop during day @7NewsBrisbane

About time.

I respect a persons right to self determination in all aspects of their life so long as it doesn't impact directly on others.

I also respect the right for a company or organisation to spell out its expectations and rights in relation to its performance and safety to its employee's and other stakeholders.

If the NRL's Directors and Medical Committee have decided its a "jab to play" then its a "jab to play" - no exceptions and no "waivers" - and therefore people who do not wish to be jabbed for some reason must also accept that just as they are free to determine what they do, then the NRL also have the right to determine what they do. Simples.
