The game can't operate under the rules placed on the rest of society, and we have been given no indication when that may be lifted. For those who have lost jobs because of those restrictions they have reason to be a bit miffed about any sanctions being eased for the NRL.
What about those who have lost jobs because of the NRL being stopped despite their ability to actually operate?
Well they are in the same position as the hospitality community, the arts community, the airline and travel community retail, manufacturing etc. all impacted by "social distancing" rules. It sucks for everyone but when the message is that this is the way to stop the spread of the virus then it is understandable that some would see the NRL looking very self involved.
Yes and like any business they should try to keep going for as long as possible!
Pretty sure any business that can operate and comply with the current "social distancing" is operating.
The NRL at this point can't and hence why it is not - like the other businesses' that can't comply.
But you know that is factually untrue, the NRL has exemptions, so could be operating right now!
This is not about NRL it is about a virus that has killed 100,000 people to date and counting - that is transmitted by human contact and does not discriminate. We are all under government instruction to negate the transmission through social distancing.
Regardless of the hoops the NRL is jumping through to get the game up and running it is a game that ignores "social distancing" - can't be compared to any business that is currently operational - and until that is lifted for everyone there is reason to question "why them"?
Building sites should be closed then.
