Potential grand final dates: 17-round season - October 4; 18-round season - October 11; 20-round season October 25; 22-round season November 8. Latter two would mean moving from SCG if T20 World Cup goes ahead.

I just don’t get the date thing. NRL are like a bull at the gate with the attitude about this.
it won’t be NRL that make the final decision but they are really acting like they are the only ones with that starting flag.

Most school chose to...mine did 2 weeks before holidays started

Public schools didn’t

My son's school did and won't re-open anytime soon.

I have no idea if that's the case with all of them, but my son's school is very small and despite the low numbers that's a decision the school made.

I'm not too sure about this... The dynamics of the whole thing... Origin straight after GF.... It will be difficult for players not making semis playing origin after 4 weeks without footy... and how do players that competed in the GF get up for origin... Will be extremely difficult

They are hoping for crowds! Origin should be big enough to cope, may need train on squads for players eliminated from finals!
