Maybe free NRL memberships to stream? I'd hate the think the club has money pulled out of their coffers because of something unforeseen.

Surprise Another Lucker

Que?

Meant to say, “another lurker”... how would giving the free streams for their online platform help to reimburse clubs or even get the players (potentially in near future) their guaranteed earnings from TV rights broadcasts’ if they’re selfishly monopolising the monies in the wake of an apparently pandemic virus.

What if Fox has to actually shut down the workplace? No more televising.

How will KAYO or the game itself stay afloat?

Could be a very bad look for them to shirk responsibility like that, at this time. More of a 1 in, all in approach is suitable here and I think that means more than covering THEIR asses

It was just a suggestion. No need to go to town on me. Just ways for the NRL to recompense fans is all.

Sorry mate. You’re right I was perhaps a little careless with my words when passing my opinion, today has had some information passed to me that leads me to believe there is far, far more yet to play out regarding Corona.

As a you g man you’d think I wouldn’t be so worried but unfortunately that’s just the weight of the world at the moment. Have a nice night!

All good mate. No hard feelings. I'm in a high risk group but I choose to see it as I'm in borrowed time anyway and we aren't guaranteed safety so may as well have fun as long as I'm not careless.

Pretty good attitude to have mate. There is no need to be silly about this, follow the advice that is given and enjoy life. I have seen my 6 year old's anxiety level increase over this and I'd much prefer to stay calm and enjoy my life and have her do the same!

I've always had to adopt that attitude. But it really is right. Keep your extremities clean and everything else will be OK. I am saddened that kids think they will die over this. The Victor Chang CRI have stated that kids with or without heart impairment have much better survival rates than adults.

Isn’t it like 0.2% glocally for anyone under 30 to die . 2-5% for under 50 , and like 20% over 65 ?

I have chronic heart disease, born with it and will die with it (and probably because of it.)

And you’re a Wests fan?

seems like a death wish doesn't it!

Make sure you stay safe during all this mate!!! I want to disagree with you for a long time to come.

Reading back the first few pages when this story broke a month or two ago, funny how innocent we were to all of this. This thing was a world away. Who knows, in a couple months we could be looking back on tonight, thinking how innocent we still were, when actually there is a greater understanding of what we’re dealing with, and the side affects of it. If that’s the case, one word. Anarchy.

I don't know what people expect. Government says "go about your business".....citizens say why didn't they warn us? Government says "no gatherings of more than 500 people"....citizens again...."what an over reaction".
What a joke some people are. They call for leadership, get it, then harp on about how it doesn't suit them.

Why next Monday ?
Why not now ?

Because they are saying this is a precaution, if it is a precaution it can be held off till Monday!

Then why call off the F1’s ?
Why not wait until Monday ?

That was the F1's decision not the governments and it appears that the drivers didn't want to continue. The F1 also has people involved that tested positive!

Also the F1 is global with teams from all over the world and races across the globe.

We’ve already got a taste of it with morons pulling knives over toilet paper. The panic level has only gotta go up a touch or two and there will be deaths. And not from the virus.

Could get interesting if people make a similar run to get their money out of the banks!

As soon as one player gets it the league will be suspended. Wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t even get round 2. Xerri already being tested.

I think it’s going to be fascinating watching games in empty stadiums. Will be able to hear all sorts of things that crowds usually drown out.

Don't you watch Roosters games

It would be just our luck after 8 years of no finals
We make the Grand final and win
But we can't go to see the game and be part of the atmosphere because of Corona Virus
And there are technical issues and it can't be broadcast live
It's a claytons final

Tested negative.

And for Wests Tigers:

A player we would have to assume will get it at some point in the season. Has the NRL states what will happen when that occurs?

I doubt they have to. It’s obvious.

Well then yeah I can't see the season riding out, as my understanding is from the experts I have been watching is something like 60 to 70percent or so will have the virus later this year. I dunno. I'm starting to feel they may as well can it now.

This is the issue for me, not the virus it's self but the social, financial and mental health issues to come from it. Resilience will be required and support for each other

They actually said they will try to continue the season but make adjustments to the schedule!
