Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a Leilua bro. Fingers crossed it’s someone else’s team if true.

Just a few AFL players also breaking the laws being reported online. At least it’s not only NRL players lol

Fingers crossed. But we don't exactly have a lot of high profile players.
Benji, maybe BJ, that'd be it.

Luciano seems to have a bit of common sense about him. Not so confident about Joey though.
Hope it's Moses, Matterson or ol' Captain Foreskin from the mighty Melbourne Storm?

Fans get fined 10 k for running out on the field ......

The game just doesn't get it and doesn't care ...I hope the Govt now says No to the NRL now

NRL doesn't fine fans for stadium breaches, it's the stadium trust mate. It applies to all codes not just rugby league.

When did I say they did ...I was using it as an example

An example of what, then? Fines for things that aren't rugby league? That NRL fines should match general society fines? If it's not about the NRL then what does it have to do with the NRLs fining structure?

So what ...you reckon that the police fines were ample

My point is that fans doing something wrong get whacked for 6 .....NRL players get lashed a thousand times with a lettuce leaf

And our fines aren't lessened by 60 % if we are good for 6 months

JAC has been warned 3 times for Christ sakes

The matter is before the courts as far a Police charges go ..so lets wait and see...

There are plenty of examples where Joe Citizen receive fines then suspended placed on good behaviour bonds etc etc depending on offences...

You said yourself when restrictions 1st started you knew of parties what not still going on..does that make it right of course not but the world is not Utopian..

I'm OK with the suspended fines for now ..remembering all RL players are going to be under stricter controls and protocols to get the game started again than the general public..

We have a baseline now so it does send a message to all other RL players and officials...any repeat offenders or breaches can be dealt with case by case with harsher penalties if need be..

Breaking Covid laws

Riding unregistered bikes

No helmets

Exceeding the speed limit on the beach

I wonder in real terms if that adds up to over $1000 ...hang on Covid is $1300 straight up ....

https://www.nrl.com/news/2020/04/29/how-20-round-season-affects-each-teams-finals-chances/?utm_source=NRLTWContent&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=NetworkContent

The 20-round competition will feature each team playing each other team once, with a second game against five sides rather than the usual nine.

Article then breaks down what points will be required to make the 8 etc.

A reduced 20-round season would feature no bye rounds so this analysis has stripped bye round points from all averages.

Over the past five years, when teams have each played 24 games and had two weekends off for byes and the representative round each season, the minor premiers have finished on an average of 37.2 points.

Based on a 20-round competition, that equates to a baseline of 30.1 points being needed to clinch top spot, so approximately 15 wins will be needed to collect the JJ Giltinan Shield.

To finish in the top four, from 2015-19 a tally of 30.4 points on average has been enough to get a double chance in the playoffs. If this year is just 20 rounds, teams are looking at 25 being the cut-off point, so 13 wins to guarantee a top-four spot or potentially one team to make it with a 12-8 record.

As far as eighth spot goes, the average number over the past five years has been 25.2,which means 20.1 points or at least 10 wins will likely be needed to get into the finals.

So less than 50% win rate and we likely make 8th?
Can we do it... I'm. Not sure

We’ve had a 50% win rate the last two season right? In some years that’s good enough for finals. Unfortunately we weren’t good enough to make it though

Surprised it was a dancing video and not a sex tape of Cleary. Penrith players tend to have a habit of being in those

Wonder what his response is when someone informs the dullard that Tyrone Roberts-Davis got the same punishment as Cleary and he is Indigenous?
If only someone in the media has the balls to ask the twit.

They haven't been fined anything yet by NSW Police..that is still under investigation..the $1000 is the on the spot fine police can issue for breaching covid rules..they weren't on the spot were they..

In NSW the maximum an individual can be fined is $11 000 and/or 6 months imprisonment plus $5 500 each day it continues..

As for the rest that is still to be determined...
