How many people who have been stood down due to Covid are receiving full pay..?

The could at least train until end of MAY as well they are getting paid..

never mind..

Cmon, it’s not the 1980’s any more apparently.

Can’t expect our players to do a days work for a days pay. Can’t expect them to act their age. Can’t expect them to take responsibility For their actions

Please, bring back the 80’s. An age where tic tok meant a clock- not dickheads trying to be celebrities

We live in an age where you can be a celebrity just by watching tv (gogglebox)

You have to read the last line in regards to why Cleary didn't tell the police about what happened

It is a poor excuse all that shows is he was hiding information from the police.I wonder what else he is hiding since he didnt disclose that part

ARL Commission chairman Peter V'landys is confident the NRL have put forward a new pay deal to the Rugby League Players Association that is too good to refuse.

V'landys is confident a new deal will see players taking just a 20 per cent hit to their contracts.

"We've given an indication to the CEO of the players' association, that we're targeting 80 per cent of their contract which would be a big win for the players," V'landys said.

"To only lose 20 per cent, so a player who's on $1 million will get $800,000."

Players from the 80’s probably got in more trouble than the players now.... just that no one cared. It wasn’t all over the news and social media so no one knew.

Definitely a lot of entitled idiots in the NRL. Not all but definitely a lot.... end of the day they’re just blokes that play footy for a job they’re no better than anyone else

Just hope the footy starts May 28 and we can forget about all the drama and just focus on the footy. This mini pre-season has been worse than the normal pre seasons 😂

I can tell you that blokes did get in trouble back then for some minor off field infringements, some blues and giving chicks a hell of a lot of cheek, but they all had respect for the game and their clubs, money was hardly ever mentioned, what you earned in wins that's what you got,if you lost you got NOTHING....that's the difference from then until now...Im excluding the old Winfield cup, noboby really knew what went on in the clubs back then...

Foxtel now apparently holding up the broadcast deal looking to save more money, just as bad as channel 9 now. This is gonna keep happening and may 28th will be less and less likely.

Players back then played for the love of the game and got paid barely anything. Players today still love the game and dedicate their lives to it but they know it’s a business and they may only play for a very short time and know they have to earn good money.

Definitely does take some of the passion out of the game and loyalty is dead but I can understand it from the players.

So 10 home games?
LO x 3
CSS x 3
BW x4
Tamworth been scrapped

Is this just a guess? Or has some kind of draw been released. I’m more interested in who we play than where we play

Can't see us playing at particular home grounds unless there are going to be crowds, which seems to be unlikely at this stage and expect something similar to the former six week tv programming if they are unsure.

I think most games will be a specific stadiums that the NRL can easily control. I wouldn't be surprised to see LO and Bankwest used for the majority of games for most clubs.
