the #istandwithdan crowd are probably hoping nsw goes into lockdown
About time QLD and Vic do fair share in overseas arrivals instead of closing borders

I can understand why Vic haven’t done their fair share after what they’ve been through for most of the year but the Qld & SA premiers and that gloating knob from WA should’ve been pulling their weight in regards to return travellers instead of building barriers every time there’s the slightest mention of Covid and carrying on like Yosemite Sam with guns blazing at anyone from another state who dares to come near them! So much for the Aussie spirit.

Gladys has created division.
Those living south of the Narrabeen Bridge are in the Great Southern Land while those living north of the bridge are on the Dark Side of the Moon.

As always its those of us that live in the old Pittwater Council area who have to carry the bludgers from the lower end.its a pity she didnt undo the council merger at the same time.

Single digit case numbers and test numbers consistent with the last couple of days to be announce at 11am is the rumour.

What has happened to the people of the great State of Victoria? They seem to be cowering in fear of a 15 year old with Covid. Back your health dept and contact tracers! Back also your Govt after the Commissiondetermined no one made the decision to use private security firms in Quarantine, not that it was the real issue.

What a moronic statement. Cowering? Why does the age matter? Covid doesn't seem to ask for ID. Given what Melbourne went through with 6 months of lockdown, I can understand why they would be a little cautious of any case that may put them back in lockdown.

So much in this thread is what I read in the papers and watch on the news. States being called jurisdictions, people who live in states being called "XXX citizens" . News flash, its all Australia and we are being used as pawns for political gain. I don't want to point out a specific leader as they are all as bad as each other but please, have a thought for our fellow Aussies in Vic and have a thought for our fellow Aussies in the northern beaches of NSW at the moment.

As much as we all like to think our state is best, if any part of Australia fails, we all fail. WA mines, Victorian Ports / Dairy , NSW produce / mines , Qld...Fun parks, Beef and average beers... It all needs to work.

Tribalism is fun for footy but not so much for a national pandemic that kills people. If you like, and it makes it easier. Treat the Pandemic like a international test. You hate player X when he plays for the roosters but when he's got the green and gold you can cheer for him.

If you read the SMH/The Age comments from residents of Victoria it is clear there is fear of Covid. These are not articles by journalists.

We all have empathy for victims of Covid, so save your lecture. If like me, your family is directly impacted by family members risking their lives treating patients with Covid, you would be well aware of the fear witih reason that we live with.

No is not like a test match. I would not make that kind of moronic statement.

4 edits and that's what you stuck with lol.

Ok, so Victorians are being too cautions but your family is on the front line treating patients and understand the full impact Covid has.

Not a lecture bud, just asking for some perspective but I see by your ramblings its a pointless task. Enjoy Xmas.

4 edits is correct. I type with a prosthetic hand. No one has ever mentioned it before but you feel the need to do so. It is an intersting observation.

Mate, you and I rarely agree, but no one should be criticized for editing their work on here. With the amount of poorly worded and structured posts on this site it is refreshing to see someone who has enough pride in their writing to actually re-read over what they have typed.

Exert from Gladys presser...

I think I can explain it all here, ok here goes, So if you are in the northetn beaches, and your house is an odd number but your neighbour has a red car then you can't go out, unless your neighbour has a blue car and it is raining that night, but that is only applicable if it is a thursday. If it is not a thursday then two houses to the left of you can go out on Tuesday or Thursday but only if they live in a no through road and it is at night. If it is the day time then only 1 adult can leave the house and travel to get supplies but only if they have a blue jacket on and they hop on one leg without tripping over.
Ok all clear???????? good!

There is increasingly an irreconcilable difference in policy between States. There is the hard border stance of all States and Territories v the lock down of specific areas and contact trace of NSW.

To think NSW is possibly going to lose the Test appears a slight over reaction.

I hope not, I scored an invite to the 1st day for the members stand.

Far out! I hope you’re gonna shout the bloke beers all day

If I shout him beers all day he will be passed out in his seat. He struggles to hold his beer.

Is Dr Chant a Tigers fan?

Doubt it, otherwise she would have put Manly in lockdown permanently.

We are all in this together unless your rich or Joe Hockey..

Or QLD or WA or VIC or SA or ACT or TAS or NT.

That's a bit harsh .....I can't speak for every state , but Qld has always accepted what number they were asked to take into quarantining ...and as I said if we were asked they were going to put more quarantined people into Mackay ,Cairns and Gladstone

It’s a complete breakdown of the federation. One Australia no longer.

Your premier has been a complete and utter moron but to be fair a bunch of them have. Gladys has handled this so well.

This shows how many politicians aren't up to it. Gladys said something that I thought made sense yesterday. She stated it's about holding your nerve. You have a plan. It's worked. You got to stick with it. You have to trust the system.

We have one state carrying the load for the country and providing hand-outs to everyone else. My expectation is that every state barring NSW pays higher taxes for the next 10 years to pay off the debt. Seriously just make it a blanket $1000 per person in each state barring NSW as a COVID tax going forward.

I have a massive aversion to free loaders. You get them in all walks of life. They have great ideals. They don't want to pay for their ideals. They should be made to bear the cost of their ideals.
