Roosters players and staff likely to be COVID tested today. Players told to avoid areas like restaurants, cafes etc. At this point NRL saying they are not overly concerned with latest developments.

Some sobering stats out of the UK with a population of 67.61M:

1 in every 500 people in the UK has died as a result of Covid19
1 in every 1,000,000 (1M) people in the UK has died of vaccine related reactions (eg clotting).

And likely ten to twenty fold as bad, or even worse without mitigation.

Over 75% vaccinated though ......down to the 20's age group wise ...

If you took sport of Aussies ...we'd have the 90% vaccinations

75% vaccinated and yet they are still daily new cases of 7673 per day with the three monthly average rising. **Doesnt add up.**

Or “vaccine” doesn’t work - surprise, surprise!

I dont think that is it. More likely the 75% figure is rubbish.

I have recent anecdotal info that the vaccine works. A friend in Hungary, in her 40's, she is a fitness instructor and was an Olympic Gymnast. Super fit. She got Covid and was really sick for 3 weeks and ended up with bilateral pneumonia. Her 11yo son also caught it and got pretty sick (bad sore throat and generally sick). My friend stayed at home and out of hospital with double pneumonia because her husband is an ENT specialist at a Budapest Hospital and was able to look after her.

Her husband was fully vaccinated and slept next to her every night and never caught it.

It's my understanding you can still pick up COVID after being vaccinated, however the effects are far less likely to knock you around and potentially result in a trip to meet the almighty.

Seems that I cannot book an appointment right now as they haven't openings for Pfizer as a 55 year old as yet, but the site states booking will become available in the next few days.

My understanding of the situation is that none of the 4 vaccines are proven "safe and effective", the FDA/TGA criteria for approval for use of a drug/device.
The clinical results so far show that the vaccination with either of the drugs does not guarantee that the recipient cannot get infected or spread the virus.
The best report came a few weeks back from Monash Uni, their experiment on mice show no spreading, however, the "safety and efficacy" is unknown.
Normally, a drug goes through several approval phases,
and it usually takes 3-6 years.

All drugs are supposed to pass Phase 4 Clinical trials before they apply for approval for FDA/TGA.

The vaccines never made it out of Phase 3 Clinical trials and they were granted Emergency Use Approval (EUA). Interestingly to be granted EUA you need to prove that there are no other effective treatments or prophylactics (cough...Ivermectin (a drug which the clinical evidence shows is not statistically effective)).

Additionally a drug can not pass Phase 3 trials with an adverse reaction noted. Vaccines are currently effectively within Phase 3 trials and according to data held by the Vaccine Adverse Event Recording System (VAERS) there have been almost 5000 reported and medically corroborated (underreported likely) deaths in about 6 months which is more than all vaccines over the last 30 years.

I am not mounting an antivax case, but it is clear this is NOT the same as ordinary vaccines and should not be treated as such. Of course Covid is not a normal circumstance and everyone has to carry out their own risk/benefit analysis.

This data is a graph of deaths reported to VAERS for Covid Vaccine versus all other vaccines combined since 1990. This is not from a conspiracy source. This is from the CDC (US Govt) and is very likely to be under reported.

This is the data for deaths fromCovid Vaccines vs all other vaccines (the graph continues to the right off screen but there is nothing really there.

Please note that this data is US only and excludes deaths from AstraZeneca vaccines.

Are you sure that this relates to deaths?

The chart is headed "Adverse Events" which, in Australia, is a reference to side effects, not deaths. (Ref TGA). Many side effects are quite mild.

Also, do you have the total number of vaccinations for each of those years. The only way to really make any sense of this data is to consider the adverse effects as a percentage of total vaccinations.

Another consideration, T5150, is the level of data gathering.

If this is in fact a graph of side effects it may simply relate to an increased level of data collection. I've been having annual flu injections for the last 25 years and never once been asked to report on side effects, but, since receiving my first covid injection, I've been asked to complete three surveys about whether or not I've had any side effects.

It is 100% deaths. Click on the link I provided, you can select the data you want. That chart is for deaths/year.

It is data **only** for deaths (you can go to the CDC site and run the data yourself).

I cant run the data for % of vaccines administered and you have a valid point regarding deaths as a percentage of administered doses, however that graph is versus the previous 30 years and IMO tells a story.

Thanks for your response to my earlier posts T5150.

I went onto the CDC website, but I couldn't replicate the report you presented. I felt, however that, if the number of deaths were as high as indicated in the report you posted, there would be other references to it.

There were a number of references to the use of the CDC data. I've posted below a couple of the articles I came across. The common theme of these articles is that there is no causal link in the CDC data between the vaccines and the death of the vaccine recipients. In other words, if you got a vaccine, and were then run over by a truck, your death will be recorded in the CDC data as a death occurring following a vaccine. If the number of people who receive vaccines increases significantly, then so will the reported deaths.

One of the articles that I have posted is particularly disparaging of people who use the CDC data to advance an anti-vax agenda. I think the article has value, because there are people taking advantage of this health crisis to advance these ideas. I am not suggesting that your intentions, in posting the data from the CDC, are to advance an anti-vax agenda. You have stated quite clearly that you are not anti-vax. Please don't interpret the tone of the article as a personal attack by me.

Discussing the safety and efficacy of the covid vaccines is a valid thing to do, but we need to be careful about it. It's so hard to believe anything we read these days - particularly on the internet. It's just a real struggle to know where to get valid information.

Vaccination is a health issue but it's also an economic issue. Full economic recovery is dependent upon broad-based immunity. Any disinformation in relation to the safety of our vaccination program is an attack on our economic wellbeing.

These are the articles I referred to:
