For all the tough talk about bringing in the military..... the government using the forces for non-defence purposes is 100% illegal.

Defence are often called in to help with Bushfires and floods. They are allowed to be used when a state or national emergency is called.

Floods and bushfires can be justified as defending Commonwealth interests.

Enforcing a state public health order is 100% different.

Looks like the ADF is coming in but you know best.

Fact is the ADF have been helping border protection and in hotel quarantine for last 18mths

Will be waiting for all those law suits to be filled.

They've been asked by NSW to help in the same capacity as a private security guard or even a private citizen.

They have not been asked to enforce laws or 'protect'.

At best they can ask nicely that you put a mask on if you're out and about or report a breach to police in much the same way that you or I could.

Until some of the amendments to the defence act are put into law, they're currently very exposed legally if act outside some very limited boundaries.

It’s interesting given at border control points they actively prevented people to cross borders. In apartments as part of hotel quarantine they also do restrict and enforce the legal standing. They will be there to enforce the LGA rules can’t see them going oh sir you don’t agree sure just travel through.

Does anyone have any idea what to do with the millions of Australia's that won't get vaccinated round them up like the Jews in the second world war ? Shoot them ? Split the country in two ?

And unvaccinated business owners they won't enforce the law

And what about the economy ? Can not have 4 to 5 million people not working and if so the crime rate will go to the moon and the black market economy will rise

I think that America is showing the outcome. Those that look for alternative narratives, subscribe to various conspiracy theories and therefore avoid vaccination as a sign of their freedom.

Once the country opens up infections, hospitalisation and death rates amongst this group go up significantly, leaving them unable to work as paramedics.

Does anyone here have to do the three daily testing for work?
Had a test last Tues still no result...i gave up yesterday and had another one... Almost an hour wait.... People going to another one nearby in Roselands report waiting several hours and sometimes several days or no results at all too
There's gotta be a better way
My company is working on a roster system and giving us an hour or two off early when it's our turn which I'm grateful for... But it's frustrating when it all seems like a waste of time as I had to return to work today with as yet still no test result... It's a mess!

I had one a month or so ago and my result was sent to someone else. I rang up to see why it was taking so long and they said they got it mixed up. I was negative. But it was a days wait. I'd ring them.
