Well, NSW numbers are up again today and it's the same old spiel from Gladys...The lockdown hasn't worked, in so far as she could have, and should have gone harder with it.

I'll be surprised if she relaxes any restrictions next month.

You think we're looking at a long lockdown?

My sister in law has a wedding booked for next month.
Wonder how that'll go...

Hunter/Newcastle entered a 7 snap lockdown.
I have no doubts it will be extended.

I just can't see us getting out of this Demps. Maybe it's just my frustration at the whole thing with the way it's playing out, but it's clear people who have the virus either aren't aware, or don't care because they are still out in the community and it's continuing to spread, which means resources will be spread thinner, reducing their effectiveness.

100%

Rough times ahead.
Craving some normality.

But yeah, people need to follow the rules.

It’ll be a long off season for us footy heads

That's when I do all my bushwalking (when the cricket's not on.)

Just got back from the Falls not long ago. First time down the bottom, an absolutely beautiful spot.

What brand shoes/boots do you wear and/or recommend when bush walking @Cultured_Bogan?
I need a pair of soft easy walkin but supportive and protective shoes/boots, but cant afford to pay big $$$.

What a funny old world we live in. The anti vaccination brigade won't put that stuff in their body, some are scared at long lasting effects, which i understand, but those beliefs are suddenly washed away with $300. I would have thought most people would want to live and be healthy as opposed to the alternative rather than have to bribe the community. Like i said, funny old world.

Of course the guru of bribes of the community is Scummo and his mob; as long as the community will vote LNP. Carpark anyone??

Its not a political reflection. More a reflection on the lack of conviction in the community. If i thought something was seriously going to harm me, then it's highly unlikely you could pay me to change my mind. Certainly not for $300. I'm not interested in discussing politics, if i was i'd be in the political thread.

No amount of money could entice me to put anything into my body i believe is bad for me.Yet in the USA a finance company is paying each empolyee $1000 american to vaccinate.
I have my second AZ jab next wednesday and am looking forward to have as full protection as you can get.
I hope the Alan Jones -Craig Kelly types follow the Darwinian theory and get the karma they deserve for spreading lies and misinformation to gullible people. They are doing there fellow citizens a disservice and actually helping spread the virus by their stupidity.

I have an uncle that smokes 1.5 packs of cigarettes a day and drinks a bottle of scotch a week and tells us he will not get vaccinated as he will not put that into his body .. go figure.

Bit out of balance isn't he and may need to increase the scotch.

He should be right, with that much toxic crap floating around his body the virus probably won't want to set up shop there anyway.

The irony is he's more likely to suffer a blood clot from smoking than he is from taking the AZ vaccine.

Don't tell him that. Pretty hard to convince those kinds of people.

Wouldn't even bother to try and convince someone - it's reached the point where you either have enough commonsense to look after yourself, or you don't. And I don't have sympathy for those that don't.

Its not about sympathy for those that don't, I am disgusted by those that don't. They are willingly putting everyone else at risk, including those close to them.

Again no one in ICU has got both jabs and yet people say they don't trust the vaccine because you can still get the virus after you receive both doses.

This is true, but you're also very unlikely to convince them otherwise. My feelings on this matter now is that if you get COVID without being vaccinated, good luck - this is what I mean by not having sympathy - there's enough validated information out there for everyone to make an informed choice - of all the things that can kill you, this vaccine is the least of your worries.

8 times less likely to contract covid if you are vaccinated
25 times less likely to end up in hospital if you are vaccinated
25 times less likely to die if you are vaccinated.

There is really not much more to say on that topic.

Spot on mate.

Ah geez. 355 infringement notices? Compliance getting worse.

This is depressing as f.

Hang in there guys, and please get vaccinated if you haven't.
