The Bunnings one is interesting, I can see why it is important for it to be open.

I believe it should be Trade only.

If I have a tap go or something like that, I need to be able to purchase another.

I'll just add that I haven't been to Bunnings during this lockdown lol.

I was at woolwoths today and I've just returned home, The place was very busy, there were many people in every aisle and a line of people waiting at the checkouts.i was trying my best to avoid close contact with the people but it seemed almost impossible.

Which then made me think are these strict lockdown laws **seriously flawed?** It seems if they are then it would make those tough rules that are applied as being very **debatable** and mostly pointless.

How would checking in and wearing a mask in a **crowded** woolworths be **any different** than checking in and wearing a mask in those places that are banned to operate?

People need to continue to eat food and wipe their butts? Just a crazy idea?

The people are stopped from bringing the virus home from a cafe or a club but they are still very easily able to bring it home from a crowded woolworths, this is the flaw.

Sure but people still need to buy food and soap. Its all about minimising risk.

perhaps make all woollies click and collect or delivery by army etc and close bunnings and the like

The Bunnings one is interesting, I can see why it is important for it to be open.

maybe click and collect for bunnings and open for tradies

Our local Bunnings is more Covid safe than the local supermarket. There are separated entry and exit points, Covid check-in, staff checking masks and the NSW Police arrived to oversee the situation.

With more people staying home they get bored and need things to do which = home projects.

Trade shouldn't happen if they are indoors anyway.

Click and collect or delivery should be the focus

Some of us are able to change a tap washer without calling a plumber and forking out $150....just need the right equipment... But I agree there's many going there for.non essential/ boredom killing projects which is still important as emergency maintenance repairs... maintaining mental health is important to us too

**Sydney boy with COVID-19 dies from pneumococcal meningitis.**

A 15-year-old boy, who tested positive for COVID-19, has died in a Sydney hospital after he was admitted with the life-threatening bacterial infection pneumococcal meningitis.

Osama Suduh was being treated at Sydney's Children's Hospital at Randwick.
A statement released by the hospital said that although the teenager was COVID-positive, this was not the reason for his admission and was not his cause of death.

Pneumococcal meningitis is an infection of the membranes around the brain and spinal cord with the bacteria Streptococcus Pneumoniae.

"Sydney Children's Hospitals Network extends our sincere condolences to his family at this heartbreaking time," the hospital said.

Well I am at work at the moment, just been told we will be heading into a 3 day lockdown from 1:00PM today due to someone flying from Sydney to Darwin to attend a raceday.

We've been pretty good up here.

Honestly Northern Territory Government is pretty useless and should have shut down flights coming to us.

Increase to fines and 5km distance from home for all of Sydney.

It will be interesting to see if that has an effect. NSW Police going through the extra enforcement powers now...

Yeah, let's shut the gate now that the thousands of horses in the paddock have run to the far corners of the state, from Byron Bay to Broken Hill.

The Dubbo situation is akin to Sydney having well over five thousand cases on the third day of it's outbreak.

A head needs to roll and not that of Dr Chant who's advice was not taken, but little doubt the spin doctors are busy preparing.

You do not have to be real smart to see that Dr Chant has been blindsided by the politicians as THEY are the ones making the decisions not health advise … this is why Hazard does not want her to answer questions from the media .
The only thing that is going to save this state now is a vaccination !

I still remember when you were giving it to the Victorian Premier and praising Gladys. Those were the days.

Dan deserved the kick now it’s Glady’s turn big time!

So it’s not a left or right thing, just incompetence. Glad you finally saw the light.

Ask the joke of a PM and Perottet about the failure to lock down the Eastern Suburbs.

I've got my thoughts on culpability of the Federal government in not taking charge of diversified vaccine procurement and handling purpose built quarantine facilities, but in the event of failure of leadership from the Federal government, the population looks to their respective state governments to take charge and responsibility.

Victoria failed last year, NSW have failed this year. We needed leadership and they have failed. They are just trying to vaccinate their way out of it, but that will not help the health system in the meantime if it gets overwhelmed.

100%. I can wire things up and change pretty much any fixture in a house without the need to call another trade. I'm not paying an electrician to replace something faulty when I have a trade qualification that covers the ability to do that myself.

whats the go with childcare? I'm still at work and my wife is working from home, childcare is outside the LGA and beyond the 5km radius, can we take him to daycare seeing as she is still working? or is working from home not classified as "working" so can't take him to daycare. we are both essential workers but she has opted to work from home as she is pregnant

I checked last week if you are both essential workers you can take your child do daycare even if it is greater than 5km or outside your LGA if it is the normal childcare used
