Im not an anti vaxxer ....Im a person who wants to know what exactly is pumped into me via Govt control so we can mingle within our society..
If I choose not to get the vax until more research is done and we open up the community..
Why do I have to be a segregated person because I havent taken a vax..My spending and social habits werent a problem prior to the pandemic, but because I dont have a vax passport I cant shop or patronise premises I was welcomed in and fond of prior...
And people think Im an unsafe person because I didnt conform to what the Govt demands...
I always thought we are a free country.....apparently I may also have to get a shot so I can go to work...
Coersion at its best....as I said Im not an anti vaxxer, but I dont want to have health problems down the track because not enough research was done on a quick fix vax....

What further research would you like to see conducted?

I get that you may feel discriminated against but the alternative is to keep everyone locked down. Why should people that have been vaccinated be lockdown because others have made the choice not to be?

You may not have read my other post in reply to Snake...
I have had blood clots a few years ago and it wasnt pleasant..I would hope they may find what causes them and who they mainly affect..If the vaxx doesnt affect me after my GP appointment then I will have a look at what one I should select....not sure yet and its really me showing real concern in regard to my own health and history of clots...but thanks for your concern and I completely respect yours and anyone elses on this topic...

Mate, that is a completely valid answer and is the reason why a high vaccination rate is critical and why I think restrictions for unvaccinated people are beneficial. Some people who for medical reasons can not be vaccinated are protected by high vaccination rates, that is exactly why I want to see high vaccination rates. I would include exemptions to restrictions for medical reasons as that to me is the main purpose of restrictions on the unvaxxed, to protect the vunerable.

We're you immunised against
ploio, measles mumps etc?
Have you had a tetanus shot?
Any medicinal Injection?
Do you know what was in these... I've had all these as have most of us and I'd wager most of us have no idea what went into us?

A couple of points:-

1. You will probably get COVID. If you get COVID I believe that you will have a much higher chance of developing blood clots than from taking the vaccines.
2. You could take a mRNA vaccine. I suppose your counter argument is Dr Malone. I've never heard of Dr Malone because he is a fraud. He didn't invent anything at all. He has had nothing to do with testing these vaccines.
3. My understanding is that no vaccine ever has had a negative effect something like 2 months post vaccine inoculation.
4. We have I believe the best data-set we've ever had at hand for something like this. It's amazing. I think we can trust the data on this topic.
One thing I'd really suggest is speaking to your GP.

You might see it as coercion

The thing about coercion is that is what society does. It's part of being human and living with other people.

I'd add I don't believe anyone is going to force anyone to take a vaccine. You can choose not to. One consequence of choosing not to will be putting yourself at a much higher risk of developing significant illness (including blood clots) from COVID. There may also be social consequences.

I'm not sure on my opinion in relation to the social consequences. I figure if I go to the gym or my son goes to school everyone should be vaccinated if possible. At the same time if we get to 80% or 90% vaccination rates who cares. The other 10%-20% will get COVID and if they live they will develop antibodies.

Glady's got her cranky pants on..

She is being called out. Bluster blame shifting when her rules are still easily misunderstood.

Blaming people breaking rules, sure, not good, but not the source of the infection numbers.

She should resign, her government has failed spectacularly.

Of course. This will be a minimal amount of people. I also think @truetiger should speak to his GP because he may be risk averse to getting vaccinated due to whatever valid reason but he might not be thinking about this accurately.

The problem is COVID is rampant and we should all think we will get it.

That is exactly what he said he was going to do.

I read that. I thought it was a good idea to re-state it.

Agree, but for different reasons. Not sure on the virus issue alone, as it's my understanding that she has not always been the blockage to implementing restrictions, nor easing construction and limiting it's naming of exposure sites.

I reckon it's pretty rough to blame her for the virus and call it a spectacular fail.

Off topic but you'd love my son. He watches that Jordy or whatever his name is and hates Gladys.

633 cases..OMG.. Lockdown rules..

Well here's the thing, Police and ADF doorknocking on homes with people whom have tested positive and checking to see if they are complying with the rules...over 400 people infected with the virus NOT at home doing like they are told and out and about...You would think they know better but they don't, or they just don't care. Either way we're screwed and I expect we will still be in lockdown by Christmas. This situation is now beyond the realms of the state govt regaining control.

Andrew Clennell ooh the dreaded Sky news Murdoch media putting the tough questions to Gladys.
Good on him for asking the questions

The network isn't totally bereft of journalists, even has a few of quality.
Still, goes nowhere near balancing the vacuum elsewhere in the organisation and particularly it's opinion dribble.

To all you wonderful people on this forum, thank you for your input and advice in regard to vaccinations..
I definately am not an anti vaxer, however I think it is quite normal to show concerns about a particular vax and health history,as I mentioned I had blood clots a few years ago due to my hand being squashed between two full kegs of beer when I worked in a hotel back then...
It was a strange case and the Drs had to treat me every 3 days and take blood to check the levels of warpharin that I needed to thin the blood...this was over 2/3 months...not looking for excuses just looking out for my self....

I don't think anyone can blame Gladys for the virus.

She is to blame for the state wide response to the virus though. She had a real life test case in Victoria to draw on but instead talked about gold standard contact tracing and keeping citizens of NSW safe. Remember that? The soft lockdown approach has now cost lives and 600 cases a day. She is incompetent and going on todays media questioning, if she has gone against her medical advisors recommendations for stronger lockdowns, add negligent.

Not having a go at you mate, but vaccines have been around for 200+ years.

Scientists know quite a bit about long-term impacts and how they work.

If you're fair dinkum on making an informed decision, there's a lot of good information online from scientists with vested interest in vaccines. Your GP can also help.

Given your history which you have outlined, I'd be consulting with your GP or specialist if you have history with clotting previously, and whether the risk might be lessened with one vaccine over another...or run the risk with no vaccine depending on what they may say.

Ouch!

The good news is this is not a contraindication for either of the currently available vaccines, **including Astra-Zeneca**.

Your health practitioner may wish to exercise extra caution and recommend that you receive Pfizer anyway.
