The people that run our country are a strange breed , when we return from Honolulu we have to sit in the plane on arrival and the cabin has to be sprayed this is due to certain agricultural bugs .. non the less you feel like leper’s . While sitting there for ten minutes breathing the spray a China Eastern A380 pulls in next to you and 500 Chinese from infected cities just embark and walk straight into our country no questions asked !
If you think that our country is not run by MORONS think again !!!

Mate you can't spray for viruses, otherwise the Chinese planes would be stopped and gassed as well.

If it gets bad enough they'll set up temperature radars like for SARS.

Also, if you think Customs and the AFP arent already screening flights from China for sick persons, you need to think again. The minute you get off any flight they are watching you and have pre-anaylsed the manifest. Source: my ex girlfriend works for Customs Border controls.

I can confirm neither agency is screening flights for sick people.

The announcement is not actually stopping planes from China. It only stops tourists. Permanent residents, students, Australian citizens, relatives of Australian citizens etc are all still allowed fly in at will.

It is refreshing to get real facts ! Many thinking there government will protect them Is a concern , all citizens returning need to be quarantined !not self quarantine full stop then I might be wrong about Scomo$$$ but I doubt it!

Death toll is now officialy 56 in China, also of concern is it is now believed that people are contagious carriers of the virus days before showing any symptoms which would have to be a massive concern for health officials

And 46 flights from China landed in OZ today ..

We rely on china on so many levels. We would be bankrupt without China.

From trade to industries like education (the international students community which makes up 60% chinese provide employment for staff in vocational education and universities) to tourism; hospitality; retail just to name a few...

The government agreed to send most of manufacturing and industry there (The Lima Declaration) to strengthen what was... a third world country .

Doing so lost us many jobs and stuff we coulda done in our own backyard.

I think Australia has a lot of offer Asian countries. We have high regulation standards from health to education etc. I honestly dont know any about the lima declaration. Always a shame to lose jobs overseas. sad for sure Demps. Domestically i tihnk our location makes us have a symbiotic relation with our Asian neighbors etc.
