Well i have just personally been affected today by the virus outbreak
Below is a part copy of an email I received tonight from a customer I do work for

"**An update on the xxxxxxxx xxxx tops. We will take what you have but the job has been halted due to all their cancellations.
As their customers are predominantly Chinese all their New year bookings have been cancelled due to this Corona virus.
So redundancies & renos halted. This will be interesting"**

I removed the name of the resort for privacy reasons

I was about to commence manufacture of over 150 laminated bench tops for this project
It has probably cost me close to $20'000 over the next 4 months but life is more important
I am only a small business but have a good client base so will be ok for now
Cairns, were I live is very much a tourist destination
We have a lot of Chinese visit our city and this news is concerning not only for me and our business but for any business who relies some what in the tourist industry.
It's not something I gave a lot of thought to until today
If this continues to spread it will affect all of us indirectly
Until they fully understand this Virus and it's capabilities governments should take all precautions to try and stop or at least slow down the spread
I have the feeling this is just the beginning

It seems as though someone has made the decision to cancel all bookings from China to this resort already

Problem is that it has been found that you are infectious before you show any symptoms. As soon as China started limited internal travel, we should have banned all flights to and from Wuhan

Problem is that it has been found that you are infectious before you show any symptoms. As soon as China started limited internal travel, we should have banned all flights to and from Wuhan

I'm only going from what I saw in the press , and they mentioned whether you are showing symptoms or not , the one thing they have found as a constant was the raised temperature

I was fairly calm when I wrote that, and I am sure there would be no feeling better than having her home.....for you personally I wish nothing but the best.

But on the other hand....say for instance this does get a decent outbreak in Australia and hundreds go down with even say bare minimum deaths statistically speaking, it's a whole other ballgame which potentially could've been minimized....

If you want to personalize it.....your wife gets home safe and sound fantastic!!! But say my children catch this virus and get hospitalized or worse through other passengers because not enough was done how hysterical should my response be?
