We may have another virus problem

Tuberculosis has made a reappearance in WA with a boy being diagnosed

TB is always popping its head up, it is nowhere near as big an issue as it has slower onset and can remain dormant in many people. It also needs longer to transmit from person to person.

If the corona virus protocols are still around for the season next year, meaning games are played in front of reduced crowds or no crowds, and there is a lessened income from those games for the clubs, will that further sustaining of a decrease in income potentially drive some clubs close to going under?

Probably depends a lot on the NRL funding and the difference between what the cap is and the funding is

Then again 5 months is a long time in the hope for an immunity or cure

Not surprisingly, more Covid interruptions on golf circuit, including Aussie, Adam Scott:

'It's difficult news to receive': Aussie golf star Adam Scott tests positive for coronavirus in California

PGA Tour confirms world number 15 golfer Adam Scott has tested positive
Australian golfer has since withdrawn from Zozo Championship in California
Scott becomes the 15th player on the PGA Tour to test positive since June

Australian golfer Adam Scott has tested positive to coronavirus in the US, the PGA Tour has confirmed.

The tour says the world number 15 will have its 'full support throughout his self-isolation period under CDC guidelines'.

Scott, 40, will now self-isolate for 10 days and has withdrawn from the Zozo Championship in California, where he was expected to be among the biggest names to compete at the tournament.

The 2013 Masters winner is the 15th player to test positive since the PGA Tour resumed in June after it was shutdown by COVID-19.

World number one Dustin Johnson tested positive last week as did world number 17 Tony Finau several weeks ago.

The winner of 14 PGA Tour titles, Scott spent time back home in Australia during the height of the pandemic and was one of the last players to rejoin the tour after it resumed in June.

Scott has competed in just four tournaments since, including the US Open in September.

First alternate Jim Herman will replace Scott in the field at the Zozo Championships, which was relocated from Japan to Thousand Oaks, California due to COVID-19.

Anyone been to the races lately?

What sort of covid protocols are in place there?

Haven’t been but saw on the news for NSW it’s seating only with the appropriate meter rule. No crowds standing at the rail. Don’t know how well it is enforced though.

The situation is now so bad in Belgium, that doctors with covid are being told to keep working, to avoid a collapse of the health system. Unbelievable.

According to worldometer, almost half a million new cases globally, in the last 24 hours alone!

Actually cracked it today with 504k plus and no doubt multiples more cases and deaths of which we are unaware, that will be estimated when the worst of this virus has passed us.

Further to your other post, I have also been keeping an eye on the huge exponential weekly growth in Europe, including Belgium. That country was already hit very hard during the extremely deadly initial wave and despite many people having already been infected from then until a week ago, on average 15,304 people, being 1 in 758 odd of their citizens have tested positive each and every day of the past seven. Meaning that 1 in 108 of the entire population this last week alone is a known new infection and it will be impossible to contact trace and isolate such numbers.

Girt by sea saved us

And some people want to remove Girt from the National Anthem. How many times has it saved us. Not just Covid19 but two world wars. Girt to bind or encircle. What a great unique word that is used perfectly in our National Anthem.
