When do you fellas think we will travel internationally again?

A lot of countries seem to be easing travel restrictions for people who are vaccinated.

Realistically you'd think first half of 2022 after everyone has had the chance to get vaccinated.

I'm in my 60's and had the AZ vaccine on Friday. Luckily not one side effect (yet?) - not even the injection site was sore at all.

My wife (60's) and a mate (50's) were both knocked on their backsides by it. My mate even said that his "skin ached" for 2 days.

Not sure if I've got the best immune response in town or the worst!

I've always been pretty good at risk/benefit analysis (I learnt to read from a form guide!) but I'm thinking I might have to re-evaluate that. I was OK taking a vaccine that has something like a 1 in 1M chance of a blood clot complication.

On the other hand I was happy to buy a Lotto ticket on Saturday night where my chances of winning the big prize were more than 1 in 8M

Seems that I cannot book an appointment right now as they haven't openings for Pfizer as a 55 year old as yet, but the site states booking will become available in the next few days.

Do you have a chronic illness, you might get seen to earlier?

All good, I was trying during the window in which the authorities were seemingly changing parameters and got through later that night when bookings opened up.

I've read August - October if the government can get enough vaccines.

How were you after the first jab? I'm getting my first Monday.

First I was fine, second really struggled

Really struggled how @cochise?
Seems like it may effect you youngsters more than old dinosaurs like me, but I havent had my 2nd AZ jab yet.
My niece who just recently turned 50 was knocked around for about a week after her 2nd AZ jab.

I don't want to put people off getting the jab, but it knocked me around for about 4 days.

About 12 hours after my 2nd dose I started with headaches and cognitive foggyness. I really couldn't think straight for about 2 days, I also had blurred vision on the 1st night.

Then just tiredness headaches and feeling off for about 4 days. Today is really the 1st day I have felt 100%

Mate the article is by Joseph Mercola. There is no way I would take any notice of an alternative medicine snake oil salesman who sells his supplements and devices to the gullible public. Basically he’s a wack-a-doodle.

Phew!!! thank you @mike... my confidence has been restored.

I think your agenda is pretty clear here, you are on a Rugby League forum and not one of your 18 posts have been football related.

I feel for you mate - I have friends at work who experienced similar symptoms from the second Pfizer shot. I was surprisingly ok - nothing more than feeling tired the next day and by dinner time, I was back to normal.
