What are the chances of this limited Sydney lockdown being effective?

Like a lot of people, I've got the next week and a half off for school holidays and am meant to stay at home (due to working in the CBD) but can't see how anyone would know?

So long as you don't need to check in anywhere, otherwise they would probably know.

Although yeah, just working in CBD (I do also) they'd have to dig fairly deep to find out haha.

And therin lies another huge problem and why the AMA think the restrictions are inadequate.

So Sydney's eastern suburbs including the city are in lockdown for a week.

Just wonder if people from outside those area can head into the city?

Might be a great time for a visit to Bondi with no locals or and about

My kid will monopolise it.

I get a free pas to get a Vaccine on Thursday, so looking forward to that..... But I mostly work from home and deal with people overseas so I still have to work.

Had to cancel 5 days in the Hunter (lucky got cash back though)

My almost daily check-ins to various CBD pubs near my work over the past month might be a red flag.

I had my first Pfizer vaccine on Monday.

I must say that I was extremely impressed with the set-up.

Within a few minutes it was all done and after waiting the mandatory 15 minutes, I was back in my car heading home.

No reactions, nothing unusual.

I had my 2 shots at Olympic park . Smooth process and even better zero side effects

2 weeks . Only issue I had jab area was sore but that’s with anything really

Considering a couple of cases have been recorded in schools this may not be even close to the Bondi cluster peak. Especially with people now refusing to do what the health specialists say because they say it "can't be a coincidence it always happens during the holidays". Apparently to a surprising amount of people this is the country's way of controlling the people and they also say the deaths are not even from Covid. They say it's surprising no one has got the flu since the virus came about and there's actually no proof the virus even exists. These people could be the reason we don't get out of the latest Covid mess for a while.

I thought this whole virus thing sounded crazy too. Until my cousin told me he lost his sense of smell and taste and felt crook for a few weeks.

Did his smell and taste come back after a while?
