Credit to Gladys and the team, they're not my normal cup of tea but have done really well to date.

This time I'm worried for the community. These rules have lots of ambiguity, which no one likes. The contact site list is growing rapidly and spreading west, north and south. I guess with one bloke flying to NZ last week it even went east.

I know some on the forum think it is all a lot of baloney. To everyone else, stay safe!

I saw a different Kerry Chant at yesterday's briefing. Her body language somewhat belied what she was saying when speaking and particularly when listening to Gladys.

Was actually remembering the traitor's press conference back in 2018 whilst watching and thinking that this lady does not agree with what is being said.

I think there was a push for a wider lockdown that was turned down

I think it is coming now though.

Watching now and she is a lot different from yesterday. Relaxed and not fidgeting with little eye movement.

I don't think she was listened to yesterday.

99.99% certain of that and that's why I wrote the earlier post. Dr Chant was uncomfortable with the political pressure.

She is even a lot more comfortable than this mornings press conference.

Close Nepean bridge

No need, you guys can't go anywhere either.

Stops grubs from Bondi sneaking out

It is shocking how often the same areas are in the case locations.

Hope scomo throws more cash at us !

This government’s is so incompetent

Letting in return travellers and housing them in hotels ..laughable

Allowing a limo driver to drive airline staff around without a mask or without being vaccinated

Useless pricks

I didn't know there was one, as we not long got back from this morning's footy. They got to enjoy their first and last outing during their holidays with a big win and must say that the crowd were great in respecting precautions. Probably the best I have seen, as I think basically everyone realises that these new strains are different and are acting accordingly.

They had a press conference at 11, which foreshadowed these restrictions.

They should've just done it days ago and given people certainty but instead they tried to play bloody political games and distinguish the state from Victoria. Not well managed. They're too busy trying to keep their popularity afloat.

Im into lockdown due to the Eastern Suburbs

The riff ?

I work in the Eastern Suburbs and city

Have a workmate who worked in the city today, he lives Berala.... And another who works there fulltime, she lives Beverly Hills.... Must they both go into lockdown?

Lockdown rules are a farce
No dancing
But you can go to weddings
Can’t go to pubs
But Bunnings is fair game

Your just a cranky man .....

Although the Great Western Racetrack is dead quiet today ..
Still pissed that they reckon Blue Mountains is classed as Greater Sydney... Wankers !

So it wasn't Anna's issue ...it was Glady's

Whether it is , or isn’t , is kind of irrelevant . You’d hate to be the one who pairs it off , and spread it to your family or friends , or worse , your whole town/ area.
You’d feel like a bit of a goose . Especially if some oldie died because of it .

I had a relative pass from one of the Sydney outbreaks last year. It is a terrible thing to experience, like all death, but for that person to go from healthy to dead in 10 days with no friends or family for support was pretty bad.

If I say too much more about people's attitudes I'll cop a ban haha

Sorry to hear that.

Im doing a lot of work in India at he moment, have been speaking to people then hearing they are gone the following week. Very sad

India is a real tragedy, one of several avoidable calamities.

It's terrible over there. At this stage they have actually given up and the country opens back up next month

In a country like India it wasn't really in their control at any stage, it was a tragedy in the making from the start. The death toll there is far far higher that what is reported.

Personally I was amazed that mass numbers they are experiencing didn't happen far earlier

If you use the deaths per thousand stat of a country like the US or UK, and then apply it to the Indian population instead as an approximation of the true figure it is horrific.

Vaccine shortages, a poor population that cant eat if they don't work, massive underlying health issues across the board, huge population density all have led to huge number of total deaths, and deaths from other health issues resulting from an overcrowded, under resourced hospital system. Its a terrible situation.

Indeed! It was very quiet in India earlier on, but there have actually been more deaths recorded after the vaccine rollout there, go figure.

Had my second dose of Pfizer yesterday and it had knocked me around.

How were you after the first jab? I'm getting my first Monday.

First I was fine, second really struggled

Really struggled how @cochise?
Seems like it may effect you youngsters more than old dinosaurs like me, but I havent had my 2nd AZ jab yet.
My niece who just recently turned 50 was knocked around for about a week after her 2nd AZ jab.

I don't want to put people off getting the jab, but it knocked me around for about 4 days.

About 12 hours after my 2nd dose I started with headaches and cognitive foggyness. I really couldn't think straight for about 2 days, I also had blurred vision on the 1st night.

Then just tiredness headaches and feeling off for about 4 days. Today is really the 1st day I have felt 100%

I feel for you mate - I have friends at work who experienced similar symptoms from the second Pfizer shot. I was surprisingly ok - nothing more than feeling tired the next day and by dinner time, I was back to normal.

I would still recommend people to get the vaccine. It didn't change my opinion on that at all.

Agreed - its an imperative IMHO

I am now fully vaccinated and had virtually zero side effects. My wife - mild to moderate for one day - everyone's immune system responds differently to all vaccines - it just fact. Still completely outweighs any downsides (statistically speaking )

Completely agree mate, its why I'm a little reluctant to tell people I had side effects.

Yeh...with great respect @cochise I fully realise you dont want to put people off, but if you dont tell people the **truth** of possible side effects [in a respectful way] what is said could be seen as fake news.
I'm sure most of us on here are adult enough therefore responsible enough to make a decision one way or the other re getting the jabs.

If someone on here is 50/50, but then decide 'to do the right thing' and go ahead and get the jabs which causes bad side effects, they would have cause to regret it deeply.
But later go on to read a post of yours stating you did indeed have bad side effects, they may well have cause to blame you for their pain and suffering.

There was a pop group called the B-52's [probably way before you were born] that had a great track called "Tell it-Tell it-Tell it like it T-I-IS''...with respect.

Which is why I did convey my story. I know who the B-52s are, one of the female singers, Kate Pierson, is the woman singing on the Iggy Pop song "Candy"

wasn't Kate Pierson also in the R.E.M. song Shiny Happy People
